People tend to sleep on that beer, yet the Simcoe hops really shine if you give it a minute to warm .

Long Trail Farmhouse Berliner-Style Weisse from Vermont. I had to add this one and two others from this mixed pack to the BA database. Always looking for new local offerings.

So the crowler (whoever invented the crowler deserves an award) of Chocolate Wheat is tapped so I decided to fnish off my growler of Cherry Wheat from Four Leaf Brewing in tiny Clare, MI. Also decided to have a cherry pit spitting contest with my oldest. [IMG]

I also cannot recommend enough the Alex McKnight series from Steve Hamilton. It's about an ex-Detroit copy who moves to the U.P. and gets involved in trouble against his will. If you like your protagonists to get beat up and bloodied before coming out somewhat victorious, this is a series for you.

Continuing my oldies tour with an assist from Lagunitas….this one nine months past its bottling date. I love this fresh, but unlike my last spin partner (Burton Baton) it hasn’t fared nearly as well in its golden years, or maybe it just requires a bit more aging? Hmmmm….I have another sixer remaining that I’ll put to sleep for another four or five months in hopes of a better outcome. At least the bruschetta jack and Spanish chorizo lived up to its billing.

For what it's worth I've gone through close to two cases so far (sits on the shelves here) and they all have been outstanding. I'm not letting the infection thing scare me from aging any. Cheers!

Yes, sir! Low Spark of the High Heeled Boys was indeed an amazing work, but I cut my Traffic teeth on John Barleycorn and couldn't separate myself from it for months. Probably spun it at least once a day for three or four months. Cheers! :grinning:

I uh may have had one or two last night. :flushed: Then working outside in 90 degree heat was a slight tactical error on my part, but then again I work everyday. I had to read the post to see why I was even mentioned to begin with, as I am not even that impressed by the glass although I love the place I got it at. :grinning::stuck_out_tongue: Thanks for the mention, club is duly notched.

Back to a local brew now. This La Trappe is relatively light with 4,7% alcohol in it. More like a pilsner beer.

I wouldn't guess this is a double IPA if I were drinking it blind. That alone is scary. TH never fails to deliver. Are you kidding me? Hold on BAs, phone is ringing...

    Hunter: Yes, Christina...
Christina: Well, hey to you, too.
Hunter: You only call me when I have IPAs.
    Christina: And?
Hunter: I can't do this any more.
Christina: You can, and you will.
Hunter: What makes you so sure?
Christina: Remember that dress I wore on Ellen?
    Hunter: (gulp) Yes...
    Christina: I'm wearing it now.
    Hunter: ...
    Christina: Say it.
    Hunter: Fine... Come on over.
