Good morning from hot Athens, Greece
After all this time arguing with comcast /twc merger. I now pay more and my tv won't work because I need a modem and a splitter AND and adapter. Lots of wires too ugly for me. I tried to hook it all up myself. TODAY they are going to come out and do it for me so I get what I pay for. They said no charge. If they charge me I will hit the roof live on the phone. IS it Monday? Feels like Monday.
Been drinking this one for a half hour, too lazy to post til now. Figure I'd get my barrel aged for the day out of the way early.
The Bruery Terreux • Tonnellerie Rue
Needed a palate cleanser between the barrel aged Dark Apparition and the morning coffee. This fits the bill.
Audial palette cleansers.
Happy midpoint, advocates. One week til school starts around here.
I promise to do all I can to help this thread be a little better today. Even if that means drinking a beer while making pancakes. Hahahaha
We all have to make sacrifices for the greater good, right?
Had to get another 12-pack of this. It's really good.
Much needed lawnmower beer, canned 8/8/16.
An IPA from New Zealand.
Want to be a "hero"?
The breakfast of Champions!
ps-I got one of those 12 packs myself, even the better half is enjoying them!
Haha! Good form. Cheers!
Happy Hump Day, BA's! Seems we are off to a little better start today, but I applaud the efforts of the TRUE CREW WBAYDN bar flies. Let's get down 'n dirty starting with the Glass of the Day Awards!
GotD: @Prager62 always rewards us with wonderful pics, but this one took it to the next level. Proper. Fancy. And even a little sacrifice fresh off the bine. Beautiful HopSlam post! Cheers and congrats! (p.s. Don't worry...that New Belgium glass will have its day )
2nd: Staycation mode is in full effect for @TongoRad who dusted off the cruise line Hurricane glass. Time to get those feet up!
3rd: @mschrei paved the way for us as the first post yesterday, and miraculously made it to the LNBA stage, and finished off with dessert in a stellar flute. Talk about effort!
Honorable mentions go to @malfunxion for the new Susquahannah hex-chain printed willibecher glass (not to mention the Doomriders song!) , and to...(of course ,) @WesMantooth for a fine Carlsberg tankard-ish mug.
Special shout out to @Hopgoddess312 . Hoping Max is well, and sending out more wishes.
Cheers everyone, and I will see you all soon!
Enjoying my day off by drinking beer and watching the Olympics.
Rainy day beer... Petite Mort by Brasserie Dunham...
I was going to write a review but, at first, I didn't want to ruin the moment by overthinking it. Of course, now that it's half gone, I couldn't write a review if you put a gun to my head.
I don't know why I bother to review stouts anyway. Every imperial stout I've ever reviewed I think I've said something like OMG, this is one of the BEST stouts I've ever had! But, for what it's worth, OMG, this is one of the BEST stouts I've ever had!
Hat-tip to @TheDoctor for having the wisdom and foresight to realize how much I was going to enjoy this today.
Looked forward to this all last night and this morning...
Cambridge Brewing Company
It's always serious with a cage and cork...
Beer tastes better in the morning... *science* lol
Fantastic! Aromas of sweet pale fruits including grape, in a sweet wine-like incarnation...
Smooth as fuck, medium bodied, full of rich honeyed fruitiness with lighter notes of pale grape and wine-soaked wood. Drinks remarkably easily for a barleywine-type ale...
Parting is such sweet sorrow...
And, FWIW lol, the guy in the red shirt is firing an actual arquebus...
Alas, no cool pics, cause I drank it. La Trappe Quadruple
De Molen's Hop & Love.
Barely made it through the round of golf this morning. Heavy rain last two holes. More than two to play we would have walked in. We hit up York River Landing for lunch. Drinking Wheat Is the New Hops from Mikkeller/Grassroots, and it is nice.
Core Toasted Coconut
Core half and half raspberry ale and waterfall wheat
A beast of a hot humid day, but I managed to get my morning run in. I decided to pour this 12th in a glass for a quick review. I may have to pour two as I'm tempted to slam this first one to slake my thirst!
Another one from Belgium
The "sacrificing" continues..... Oh, and I started Stranger Things today on Netflix. Crazy, good show.
Platform - Luchador Lager Black Lager (16oz can).. cheers!
Happy hump day BA's! Man it sucks outside right now. Feels like the devil's armpit...or is it backbone? Inside drinking it is, then.
After minor surgery, the doc told me to have less alcohol. How does this beer look?
Grilled pork steak got covered in extra BBQ sauce. Beans and rosemary from the garden. Darn tasty meal!
It's pool time! Very excited to find this today. I like that it's a collab with the National Aquarium. Saw pics that Sam was there the other night. Wish I would have known.
Done with work early! Time for a beer before some work around the house. This is a great warm weather beer!
Love this song. It's on Pandora right now by the pool. They were on some rockin river cruise thing out of Annapolis the other month. I wanted to go but figured it would be crappy beer and a bunch of young drunks lol.
I got lucky in my travels this morning and found the last six pack at a store I don't frequent anymore because much of the stock is old. I like random small finds! This batch seems spicier to me where the last one tasted more like tropical fruit juice. Part of the charm with this beer is never really knowing what you'll taste from batch to batch. Still top notch though!
It's been getting some play on WXRT in Chicago and I heard it when I started the car after the morning run. Reminded me a little of Hozier the first time I heard it. Some songs just stick in your head for a while!
Time for somthing a little lighter...
Local love at the pool.
This is one of my favorite songs right now @Prager62
Looks like the state of Virginia is making an impact on the National craft beer scene. My 1st beer from Veil and looking forward to more. Cheers
