Third small pour of this guy. I find that if I drink out of smaller glasses that I get more beer to drink.

Another post of the beer mostly because of the music choice. Survivalism on the 9" vinyl. This cut is as raw as it gets but most importantly, it hammers on the house speakers.

Brother in law just showed up - we are drinking the Two Claw I got at the brewery today - canned 11/17/16 - citrus hops and dry rye:

This is a great pale, with bright citrus flavors, and a dryness from the rye that keeps this beer crisp and clean. And I'm not a fan of rye...

Moving on to a beer the GF's friend sent her. Not expecting the friend to be a date-checker, but this is really not egregious at 3 months old, Knee Deep Hoptologist DIPA:

It's funny but I remember snippets of that game. Mostly the joy it brought to the house. My pops will talk my ear off if I ask him about that. Haha. I best remember the Bailey and Cheaney teams as my introduction to IU basketball.

THE Palo Santo Marron...Palo ranks as one of my Top Ten favorites! Although worth the price (~$14-4/Pack), I have had the luxury of purchasing it as low as $12.50-4/Pack..what does it cost you in an area close to the proverbial 'horse's mouth.'

    Announcement time!

For those who weren't around last year, or were unable to participate for whatever reason, now's your chance because we're doin' it again!!! Saturday, November 26th, will be the Second Annual WBAYDN Beer Turkey Day. Your bellies should be rested and ready by then, because you're gonna need them in tip top shape. That's right, get your bad beers ready, whether they be stale, infected, or just plain poorly conceived, and tell us all about it. Let us wallow in each others' misery, while simultaneously being thankful for just how great we all have it the rest of the time. But that's also no reason not to break out just a few overwrought descriptions (if you know what I mean)...So be prepared to bring yourworstbeer and your best purple prose. There will be no set time; just start posting as soon as you can muster the nerve.

But wait: there's more! At 9pm EST we'll be starting a simulviewing of a particularly Bad Movie, courtesy of the good folks at Mystery Science Theater 3000, and sharing our thoughts and insights throughout. It'll be 2 hours of good cheesy fun. We'll have a vote this upcoming Saturday (tomorrow!) to determine the episode, and most of them are available on line for viewing.

MST3K fans- start thinking about how you'll wind up voting...

So save those bad boys lurking in the dark and dingy corners of your abode, and break them out with the rest of us. See yaz then...

Knight rode Daryl mercilessly and humiliated him at times, but he was a tough bastard and he wore it every time he stepped on the hardwood. 6'7, matching up against guys 3 and 4 inches taller, and holding his own.

Nobody gives a shit, but I got married in Germany, December of '83 and had to ship back to Indiana without the wife, who hadn't yet completed her overseas tour. I was assigned a prison cell sized room in the barracks, went to work every day, hit the gym for two hours afterwards, then headed back to the room to watch Big 10 basketball on a 13' black and white I picked up at the thrift shop for $10, with a six pack of Stroh's...The Only Fire Brewed Beer in America (that's for you Dr. Z)... at my side. Good f*cking times! :grinning:

This beer is like an old girlfriend: messy, too boozy, drunk, rough around the edges but somehow hits all the right spots.

Afterwards, I somehow struggled to try and find my dignity.

Transient Flightless APA. Those Nelson hops give this a Welch's white grape juice type aroma and flavor. I dig it. Awesome stuff.

Pee-f*cking-roo, can you believe it? I kept referring to it as Pa-ru, until some drunken hillbilly took offense and almost kicked my ass in some dive bar in Kokomo. Then again, maybe I provoked him when I said "Only a hillbilly would pronounce P-E-R-U as Pee-Roo". Remember, I'm from LA. :grinning: That corn-fed SOB was twice my size and would've pulverized me if the bartender hadn't been a retired vet.

Here's a toast to Mose Allison, who passed away a few days ago. It's definitely been a bad couple of weeks in that regard. RIP, brother, you were a true one-of and will be missed.

I'm really surprised SA Winter Lager is only rated at 82. IMO it's a really well constructed beer. Really a beautiful beer, great color, it holds that 1/8 head to the bottom, the lacing is complete. A nice simple lager , the subtle spicing finishes quite nice. How can anyone not like this beer, and im not a SA fan. Just a simply enjoyable beer.
