This could be his last live show. Not looking it up, but this could be the first playing of Freedom, because if memory serves me right, Cry Of Love was not out yet, but shortly.
    Still very interesting.

    Cheers!

I should start a separate thread, but semantics seem to get in the way when describing big, hoppy beers, especially considering the aromatics of the latest, 'New England' IPA craze.

Call them what you will (Triple IPA, Hoppy Barleywine, American Strong Ale), they all possess malts and hops in 'relative' balance, dominating for supremacy. To me,fresh Devil Dancer 2016 was the best I have sampled (of that brand) and was clearly a Triple IPA, ripe with hop character...but the malt component was certainly prominent. There are very few 'Triple IPA' beers where the hops clearly win...those that are double-digit alcohol which come to mind are:
    Seeking Alpha - Captain Lawrence
    Waldo's Special Ale - Lagunitas
    Hi-Res - Sixpoint
    Molotov Cocktail - Evil Twin

Am I the only one who feels this way?

Breaking out some monstrous hops now that I don't have to be climbing the ladder anymore tonight. High ABV and ladders don't mix. Just a word of advice.

Down 2 in the first. Maybe the problem is im drinking a Pennsylvania beer while rooting for a Massachusetts team.

Rarely get fresh Founders over here, but I can see your point. The malt usually ends up winning and taking over in high abv beers over time. For the record, I still think it's a wonderful beer! Just looked at it as a Barleywine. Cheers!
