    As a Wyominger(?), how do you feel the series captures the mood and feel of that great state? Thought I read where it was filmed mostly in New Mexico.

    I can only claim two years residence, and just two or three episodes watched, but I've read half a dozen of Johnson's books and each of them takes me back with great fondness to my time there.

    One definite quibble with the series: I cannot for the life of me picture Lou Diamond Phillips as Henry Standing Bear. I visualize a much more imposing figure in my mind's eye.

    Thanks! I like the Throwback Thursday concept since it gives a reason to intentionally retry a beer that may have seemed subpar earlier.

    Finally trying Hi-Westified for the first time. Boise market has gotten screwed out of bottles the last two releases, but I filled a Howler yesterday. So far I like the barrel component a lot, but (nit-picky) wish there was more coffee. It's solid though. Cheers!

    My one experience with Christmas Bomb! was in 2014. I loved it, but not as much as regular Bomb! Your description of "Xocoveza on steroids" is right on. What I said then:

    "This is a fantastic stout, although adding more spices to Bomb! may be overkill. The cinnamon adds a nice touch, but a bit more sweetness would have made it even better - and differentiated it from the base beer a bit more."

    Hopefully the weather in DC supports. It looks lovely from your picture! The last time I had an extended power outage, I did the same thing: I took a beer outside for a while - and when that got too cold, I took it into my car to browse the internet. :grinning:

    You get more out of the beer if you don't feel it to the brim
    and allow for some head to build up

    Good Morning and Happy Saturday BA's! I've discovered through a nice little exchange yesterday that this sickness that will not go away is the cause of the Staff's silent coups d'état :angry:! They have hence been sacked...again. Anyhoo, I've got the Mini Brau's baby shower today, so I've gotta muster up the gall to move along. That being after work of course. OK, whatever. It's time for the Glass of the Day Awards!

    GotD:     @BeerVikingSailor plucked my heart strings yet again with this wonderful Spatenbrau Bockbier glass! What can I say? I'm a sucker for goats....I MEAN Bock's :rolling_eyes::grinning:! Cheers and congrats!
    2nd: The first of a mini themed runner-ups, @Highbrow for yet another wonderfully proper and beautiful post highlighting the Bruery's prestigious Hoarder's Society.
    3rd: And to @HeyHeyTB for this lovely embossed El Catador Club CCB "snulip" paired perfectly of course.
