Brisket has been on the smoker for about 4 hours, chores are done. Heading to the hot tub with a Tallgrass Idaho 7 IPA. More beers to follow!
BAs, I am feeling good! Celebrating yesterday's Syracuse win, and getting ready for an exciting day of football. Like most people, the Dallas/Green Bay game intrigues me the most. I have no skin in the game, but Aaron and I share the same birthday, so I'll root for the Packers.
On a separate note, I was rummaging through some boxes earlier and came across something from my time with NSYNC. Sometimes, you just have to laugh. Many have seen me cover this before, but the short of it is that I was booted (kindly let go) before the release of the first album. I still remember when we were putting the finishing touches on the B-side for Tearin' Up My Heart and the fellas suggested that I drop a verse. Doing what I've always done best, I chose to push the status quo for radio-friendly, much to the disfavor of our manager, Lou Pearlman. I still recall him putting his hand on my shoulder and saying: "Son, no one questions your talent, but there's just certain things you can't say on a pop record." I have no regrets, BAs. My time with the group was LARRRGE™.
Who's ready for some Nelson hops??? I know I am, and I suggest everyone raise a glass to our brothers and sisters at the virtual bar. Let's get LARRRGE!

Head dissipated extremely quickly. Massive notes of bourbon, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, oak. Superb.
I have a three day weekend, so we'll be drinking some great stuff today. Hopefully the Packers cooperate and knock of dem Cowboys!

Pancakes for Sunday Breakfast anyone? Cheers
I thought about pacing myself today; as a matter of fact, I thought about waiting until kickoff. That all changed when I was sitting on my couch attempting to watch an underrated Ethan Hawke performance. From my lips to God's ears, I could hear the IPAs fighting amongst themselves in my fridge. That's when I heard Stillings Street let out a thunderous roar and proclaim: "I am Nelson hops, you motherf*ckers! Obviously he will choose me." Larrrge...
If you own the Japan release of this CD, you may have the remix, which features a verse that was purposely omitted from the American version. Somehow, "I got the devil's daughter pregnant, now I'm raisin' hell," was too much for the brass at BMG. I still know all the dance steps...
wish he would have gotten that carry into the endzone in superbowl instead of the fridge, I blame Ditka for that one!.
Aftermath of my breakfast stout on nitro at Red Cow. Cheers BAs

Got in late from Seattle last night, didn't get a chance to post. Lucky enough to catch the Phantom Chair release, has the NE juice, but also that PNW hop profile. The best of both worlds.
The day before I headed out, went down to one of Beer Advocate's top new breweries, Beer Lab HI, for their latest release, Vog Punch Pale Ale. They use Vic Secret, Nelson Sauvin and El Dorado hops, so it's got this amazing peach/apricot smell and taste. They don't disappoint.
and a pic, not of the beach, but Seattle
Okole maluna y'all!
