It's a delicious beer (I tried it at their pilot brewery, last year, on our trip).

*Forgive the old pic, the beer photo folder on my phone now takes up so much room I can't take anymore until some space is freed up!

Had Sorry Chicky last night, a hoppy sour (sensing a theme here), and enjoyed it. Be interested in what you think if you get it. Actually maybe more interested in what your fellow traveler thinks, recalling her proclivities.

What is Ocean City like this time of year? Quiet, I bet. I have to go down their in a couple weeks. I'm looking forward to $4 pints. Cheers!

And now, Burley Oak's Savage IPA. Not as good as the HazeCraze. But still good.

It's so quiet. A lot of places are closed, but still worth it. All the $200+ hotels are $50 a night! Hard to beat that.

Having an Aass IPA from the tax free shop on board the ferry from Norway to Germany.

Just left the Oslo fjord and are now at open sea(slow connection). Getting a bit more rough now. Wonderful that there's internet on board this ferry anyway. Sometimes slow, but good enough to get some work done.
    Cheers all!

Not the best picture, but I wanted to share. This is my first from Newgrass. And I'm impressed. I look forward to trying more from them!

    Luncheon brew with a bit of a bite . . .

    Score 3.91
    look: 3.5 | aroma: 3.75 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

Light clear golden color with white cap and good lacing.

Aroma is bright, citrusy hops with a heavier hop underpinning. A lighter style of malt is evident in the background.

Taste is hops on entry followed by a medium rich malt presence with hops reemerging toward the finish and lingering in the aftertaste. An underlying sweetness that's more honey like than sugary with the hops dancing around that core. Good complexity and nice balance. I do get a bit of orange here and I like the way citrus is accented without the heavy handedness of actual fruit components like melon or tangerine. The sweetness appears to come from the malt and the brew is all the better for that.

Light medium body which is not to say it's in any way thin. For some reason I notice the carbonation a bit more so than in other beers.

A Springtime sorta beer but I'm glad it arrived early. This is a refreshing brew that I would pair with food that will stand up to the extra bit of hoppiness yet complement the sweet malt component. Asian probably.
