Unless you have a family with a sense of humor and at that point it doesn't matter 'cause you can't do anything about it and can't get even - you're screwed for eternity! :stuck_out_tongue:

As you pointed out, there will always be outliers. As for modern country music, they are some of the hottest women making some of the most wretched music ever created. Again, rock solid.

Living Midwest-Brickstone Galaxy Down Under and cheese curds. If I go tonight, at least the doctors will have an easy time determining my cause of death: beer and cheese. Imagine how easy it would have been if the cheddar stuffed bacon appetizer was available. Too many NCAA fans before I got here, I guess.

Your post reminds me of going through stuff in my basement and finding the ticket to the Queensryche/Suicidal Tendencies concert that Mike Muir autographed for me when I caught him at the souvenir stand that night in 91/92. I think they also were the band whose album I couldn't buy at Sound Warehouse a few years earlier because I was only 17. Seriously.

I've recently started telling everyone I know that if I go I just want a pine box, wild west style. Don't fuss. Make it to look like a Clint Eastwood coffin.

    Then go party. Play some...

I listen to the old school Jennings, Cash, Haggard. Sturgill Simpson is cool for the new stuff. I also grew up on what I consider Country music. Garth Brooks, Brooks & Dunn, etc.

    Edit: George Strait, George Jones...

Without sounding like @vabeerguy, I'm thinking i'm your age bracket, sir, and i saw Garth in 92 on tour as opening act for the second band below, so I think these guys and gals work for a common definition of country, and god bless ya, brother...

I was 10 in '92 but yeah, whatever. I'm an old soul having SOB.

My first ever cd was the Garth Brooks album with Thunder Rolls and Friends. It was in the abnormally large box like they used to do and it was for a discman I got for Christmas. Thunder Rolls sounded amazing on the headphones.

My folks used to jam this a lot too.
