I'm not even Irish but all in good celebration having a local Townie, strong Irish ale from Barrel House Z in Weymouth, MA. Nice dark toasty caramel malts and some fruity floral hop notes. Really nice. Happy St. Patrick's Day. Cheers!

My daughter is up from North Carolina this week (sadly, I can't really say she's "home" any more) and tomorrow she and I are going to hit a brewery or two. The question is, should we go to Rushing Duck, which is really cool and has great beers on draught but no cans this weekend (but I could bring home a growler or two), or hit both Kane and Carton? I'd like to pick up some Overhead, Hop Pun, and Cosmonaut. I'm really torn! Then again, we could also go to Conclave. First world problems!

Didn't get along too well with pops while growing up. I'm 38. Since 25 or so, he's now my confidant and best friend. I never come home without a Pliny to share with him. Same with my father in law. Not my best friend but always try to bring a new beer to share with him. He also wants nothing more than PtE. I've spoiled them well I'd say...

From an Irish style stout to a London style porter. Keeping it dark, rich, and roasty tonight.

One of the best damn porters out there. Goes well with Iron Fist on Netflix.

Well, there's no bad decision here, but Kane/Carton gives the most options. Of course, why not stop by Conclave and give them some love on the way?

I agree about Jaco. I think Cody is great. I love the fact that so many bassists frown on using a pick, and yet this guy is incredibly musical and sounds great. And who really cares how you get it done, as long as you do.
    Cheers, Bud!

Happy St. Patrick's Day advocates!! Done with work for the night (wore green of course) and ready to watch basketball and gets as Irish as I can!
Unfortunately, no irish beer in the house, so I'll have to settle for a non-irish stout, and a style from neighboring Scotland. But I will have them in my Guinness pint glass!
To that end, I'm going with Boulevard Scotch on Scotch, and Founders Imperial Stout!!
Slainte BA, enjoy your shepherds pie, corned beer, Guinness, Jameson, green everything, and of course some terrific NCAA basketball!!

    Hmmm, hazy beer.

I just put King Arthur on the Netflix. Before this I watched Passengers on Amazon. I have a weekend to myself and need to suggestions on what to watch. I think I need a new series to watch.

Last Ripper, man, all 6 cans were gushers! It's a good beer, though, eligible for a repurchase. Photofuckit was a no go for me, too, last night, and didn't feel like jacking with tinypic, but I drank a Golden IPA and FBS while rooting on Arizona, and slept early. The level of competition goes up considerably from here, cheers!

I agree, Technically ...finger picking is harder but the end result is the sound and the feel. If it has good sound and the feeling is there, more power to you. Technically proficient with no feeling means nothing. I have not heard of either of them until tonight t but i will be searching them out going forward. Thanks!

It's pretty good. I think I like it a little better than the rum barrel aged version.
