Just some Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and sum Newcastle Brown. Very pleasant evening.
Picked up a growler of Free Will Coffee Oatmeal Brown today, and it's disturbingly good. This might be a little too specific but I think coffee brown ales are my favorite style. You can tell this thing was just dry-beaned to hell. It's no CCB Cubano-style Espresso Brown but for a tiny local brewery this is outstanding.
This stuff is awesome, wasn't a big hit according to many who reviewed it though:
Raspberries, holy shit, raspberries. I'm getting lots of raspberry with this one.
Damn good stuff.
Hardywood Gingerbread Stout thanks to cw577enfield:
What an appropriate name... tasty shit.
Bottled 3/8/13. Wow!
Mikkeller Mexas Ranger. Had this on tap in CHi town a couple weeks back on a bach party and got a bottle on the way out of town. This is the kind of beer that made me respect Mikkeller. It just needs to be about $3 cheaper and Shelton Bros needs to get their Missouri thing figured out!!!
you aint lying brother!! when i first seen it i jumped on it...then ended up pouring it down the drain.
Having an Old Chub Scotch Ale. Not one of my favorites. Glad I only bought a single.
Had these this afternoon in the forge, don't know what's coming next.
Yeah I went down to Fat Head's specifically to try this and was underwhelmed. It was ok, but I was expecting so much more.
Enjoying an OTWOA now
I'm not even sure I want to play the video... I'm already content
Glad I was finally able to track down a few of these...delicious!
Nope! More like north of ELEVEN FIDY!
Fist pump and hope everyone had a great Saturday! (Enjoyin' another one of these!)
Moved onto the latest Fade to Black from Left Hand, Rocky Mountain Black Ale. Wish there wasn't so much hops in this, because love the malty half of this. Still good with this hops, but would have been great if this was made into a stout or porter instead.
Still listening t Meat Puppets, but onto a new album
Good to hear. I am really looking forward to trying this once it hits out this way on the East Coast.
Joining Cfrances33 with a Black Note. SO FUCKING GOOD!
I've only had Head Hunter (omega-level awesome), Bumble Berry (good - especially when served with a handful of frozen blueberries in the glass), Holly Jolly (okay), and this one (okay). The ones I hear are really good are Gudenhoppy and Hop Juju, but they haven't made their way down to Southern Ohio yet.
Timothy Taylor Landlord Strong Pale Ale
Moved onto this thanks to rpbuckeye
Lugene. This is a damn good stout.
Nothing special, just finishing up the last few bottles left over from the case purchased back in feb. A few enjoyments of my life captured in one shot.
Tap Out glass eh?
port jeff barrel-aged porter (sniff! nostalgia... pj village= my former haunts)
and another sucks. I'm going to miss it once it runs out
I'm thinking the rest of the posts in this thread should read: "Noel, I'm f-ing jealous." LOL
Other than Jackie O's, why would you want to go to Southern Ohio? Fat Heads is in CLE.
Tired Hands Bokonon
The Lost Abbey Deliverance.
Other than the fact that it is a malt-forward DIPA, it's alright. It's got some hop bite towards the end. I love the name and label.
