Bissell Brothers Barrel Aged Umbra up first today, don't know why it took them three days to sell this but I'm glad it did because I was able to grab some, it's very tasty. Happy Friday BA!

The first one went down way too fast. This one is so far superior. Cheers!

One Hop this Time- Ella canned 03/01/17. There would be a nice picture here, but I apparently let my phone battery die down to 0. So you'll just have to take my word for it. Or you can wait till I drink the second one. The nose on this one is really great even after 2+ months in the can.

Having some Nelson hops. Not sure Against the Grain got the best that Nelson has to offer with this one. Perhaps I need a few more sips to discern the great flavor profile that my favorite hops feature. Hmm... jury is out on this one.

Petosi Shot Tower espresso stout and a row of old fashioneds. I'm the lone Cubs fan surrounded by Brewers fans while they play each other. It's entertaining to say the least.

An unfiltered pilsner from Brand. Mainly out of curiosity, I’m not a great fan of Dutch pilsners. Most of them are a bit sweet compared to the classic German pilsners. Nice about this unfiltered version is that it's like there's more taste.
While typing almost forgot about the pizza in the oven. Only a bit brown in the corner.

First beer since Sunday comes from @Dragginballs76. There was a ton of cola like fizzyness from the pour. Not sure if it has some infection issues, or just that "Belgian" influence ;):p

Me and my girlfriend saw Gojira and Deafheaven in Niagara Falls Tuesday and it was incredible. She's not much of a metal fan but wanted to go anyways and liked both bands, moreso Gojira, though it was pretty feelsy when Come Back was played.Metal for couples:p Hopefully some other local BAs were there too \m/

I usually end up drinking Budweiser a couple of times a year at the most, since it's priced above most Czech and German lager beers I limit my purchases to when my curiosity gets the best of me. Drinking it now I'm struck once again by how clean it is, this is not a poorly made beer by any means (and I'm drinking it at room temperature, as I do with all beers unless I am forced to keep up appearances :p). I really don't see how this beer tastes nasty or foul, unless pale lager beers isn't your thing. I can't help but think that they have a nice foundation here to build on if they would cut out the high gravity brewing and add some more hops for bittering and flavoring. As it is I would certainly drink it as a thirst quencher, but I can get Budejovicky Budvar or Bitburger, or any number of European pilsner style beers for less so it stays on the shelf until next year.

The guy next to me scoffed at the popup 'cause I had a Cubs hat on, then Broxton dropped it. Then his girlfriend scolded him for jinxing the Brewers.

Also, Schwarber is a gold glover...maybe not but still.

Long damn week at the office. In addition to my branch chief duties, I've had to fill in for my busiest section chief at his busiest period. Mentally spent, and it doesn't get any better moving forward. Tomorrow is Junior's GF's graduation party, where I'll be expected to mingle with religious zealots and far right whackos, not to mention GF's parents who are in the midst of a nasty divorce. This has disaster written all over it. Directed wife and son to stick close and not give me any speaking parts.

But after a hot day getting stuff planted in the garden and after rifling thru the fridge, i found Waldo. It's an extremely good thirst quencher.
