In the new hotel and getting Larrge with this local IPA:
Now for some dark roast. Toasty. Cheers
Aslin Beer Company Double Orange Starfish. This is a great beer that @cjgiant gave me. Pretty much as good as anything from Hoof Hearted.
Hard to hate Wisconsinites. They're some of the friendliest folks I've ever met.
Weird weather day....been trying to do some boat work .....i.e. sanding my ass off, in preparation for varnish....then it rained and thunderstormed....so, not much else to do, but have another brew
Hans says hi.
Hahahaha! Deprive @joe1510 of his sophomoric pleasures. He hates that.
Drinking Jack Session IPA from Nya Carnegie Bryggeriet, a cooperation between Carlsberg Sweden and Brooklyn brewery. This is a 4.5% abv session IPA and it delivers everything you expect from the style: American hops, light body, a refreshing bitterness and and a dry aftertaste. It's been a while since I had Founder's All Day IPA but this beer reminds me a great deal of that one, apart from the paler color. Maybe it's a bit more balanced as far as hop flavor goes, but it's certainly a really tasty beer if you want a dry APA with a lower than average abv (which is what a session IPA delivers imo, and I enjoy the style).
Yeah, sure, NOW he does.
Afternoon BA. Drinking out of plastic because I'm going in the pool, also I can put the lid on it to keep the bugs from dive bombing my beer.
Burnt cigarette/ashtray amongst predominate dark roast (bitter) coffee. Bottle conditioning was impressive considering 1yr+: chocolate malts, cacao, more vanilla with warmth, lingering peatiness with a slick and creamy yet slightly sharp feel
My brother is visiting from Virginia so I had to take him to a few ATL staples.
Porter Beer Bar in Little Five Points
Just polished off this Creature Comforts Blue Star their doughnut inspired sour ale, brewed with passion fruit. Pretty tasty.
Now, since they're featuring Prairie... Pirate Bomb! A first for me and man it's great.
Every brew tastes amazing today. Cheers to the Z's!
I wear glasses. =)
Have to be crazy if you don't like 'em hazy
Adding to the Chris Cornell tributes, one of my favorite songs he sang on. Definitely one of the best voices ever in rock.
Happy Friday, BAs! Starting out with this 3 week old newbie from Sly Fox. Nothing special, but refreshing on this 90 degree day.
Great hot weather beer from @FFFjunkie. Thanks!
No lunch brew today, so I'm just now getting to join in on Horns Up Friday.
2011 BORIS is drinking phenomenally well, where the roastiness and nuttiness have somehow amped up over time, yet it's slightly more bitter with cocoa powder/baker's chocolate, with some hints of chocolate drizzled sweet raspberry, hot molasses and fine aged grape skin with leather and bacon. Phew! Now I'm looking forward even more to two old DORIS bottles I've got squirreled away.
Don't judge the glassware, broke out the wine glass (aka basically a teku) for some mead and still using it as it's not hit its pour limit yet
Hoppy Friday. Last one from @foundersasap and the best was saved for last. Confirming my love of Amarillo and Simcoe. Boy this is juicy but it's atypical flavor than what you find in these NE IPAs- IMHO of course.
Thick and turbid but drinks lighter. Great stuff. Thanks man.
Refreshing Double IPA | Tired Hands Brewing Company
Yuengling by the pitcher and pizza at Rosati's. Fleetwood Mac as background music. I'm just happy to be out of the cold rain!
I got my ass kicked by TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course today. Birdie on 17th hole makes it better. This makes it better also. It's a celebration!!
Just had the last of ours the other night. So much better than a couple of the newer cans I got last week, even at about a month old
Its finally Friday BA's
Old Style prep.
Let's get the weekend started in proper fashion
Days off start now.....Time for a brew...So good....One of the better beers I have had from Oddside...
Wait...no, Cool down is a better phrase.
This was my boat beer all last summer, nothing fancy but good.
My review isn't fancy either...or good for that matter.
Happy Friday BA!
My favorite IPA brewers all have something in common: there's a base element to all their beers that let's you know it's them from the first sip. This is a good thing. Veil is no exception. @vabeerguy, thank you for helping me cut down my interceptions in '97. You'll always be my true mentor. We have a "Nice Relationship."
Remember when I skipped pre-season workouts senior year? I was busy Kicking Incredibly Dope Shit. KIDS...
Half Acre Navaja. This is a really, really good DIPA. Happy Friday, peace and love BAs ...
Love that song!
You can pander for likes all you want with beers and photos like those as far as I'm concerned.
