    Back at White Elm again! Drinking Rose Hip Grisette with Brett! It's amazing and I'm totally loving it! @DenverBeerDrinker, I think @tacosandbeer is sending you a mixed case of stuff. :-)

    And right now? Real time??

    Well, "ya'all" know how much I look forward to this beer every year and it finally landed in our area.

    Drove down to the North side of Philly to pick up a case that was on hold for me. 'Been chillin' all afternoon so grabbed one from the hydration station after mowing... finally ! (Thanks again for the pint glass @jvgoor3786 !)

    [IMG]

    @beerloserLI and @aoampm , I'm with you guys, this isn't the same Hoptimum that I remember. I'm usually good for at least 2+ cases every year and glad I only picked up one today. Hopefully it'll grow on me as I'm only a few sips in right now. In previous years I could pound (4) of these in a long session but with the current batch, two will be enough before moving on to something else in the beer fridge. If Sierra Nevada goes the same way as Oskar Blues did with Gubna by destroying a perfectly good recipe there's gonna be Beer-anarchy here in Pennsyltucky!! :grimacing::slight_frown::grimacing::rolling_eyes::slight_frown:

    { the fine print ... "I approve of this message" ... :stuck_out_tongue: }

    [IMG]

    Prost!

    I pulled a Sierra Nevada from my cellar this morning. Time to crack it open. Last time I had this the currant flavor was a bit too much for me.

    At Bow & Arrow doing some work. Started off with a new one from them, Desert Dynamo IPL, hopped up with Citra and Mandarina Bavaria hops. Solid stuff and would happily return to.

    [IMG]

    Now onto their Radical Aim IPA, hopped with Mosaic and Simcoe hops. They recently brought on a new head brewer and I feel with him on board this one has allowed the Mosaic Hops to shine, where the past brewer had the Simcoe Hops shine. As a big Simcoe fan and not a huge Mosaic fan, I preferred the initial approach, personally. Still really good though and I bet this new variation better received overall.

    Weistephaner Hefe. Loving this beer, it's very subtle with the spices, and there lies its strength. I have to say a I hate American versions of this style.

    Our daughter the archaeologist is heading overseas tomorrow to work on a project for a month so we're enjoying a meal she won't be having for awhile: BBQ pork ribs, baked beans, and kale slaw washed down with State of the Art 85, my favorite Industrial Arts IPA.

    Too busy drinking to post pictures, but I had to say that Nickel Brook Brewing out of Ontario is doing great stuff. Their Kentucky bastard Stout is amazing and their Berliner weisse is incredibly refreshing you've got to check these guys out.

    Now, back to the Beer Fest. Eight samples down, how many more to go?

    Gotta have my VA beer.

    My wife, daughter #1 and bridesmaids for daughter #2 wedding are going shopping tomorrow for a wedding dress. I was not invited. Should I be happy or should I be sad?
