Later in the evening here, and this is just the kind of beer I would like to have for a nightcap. New beer to me however. Taste has hints of coffee, chocolate, oranges, fruity and some bitter notes. Nice!
    Cheers!

Just got home from a pretty wild 4-day job on the Deerfield River - and drinking one
    of these right now -
    [IMG]

    looking serene....
    but...[IMG]
a little bit of chaos as all this gear had to be moved to the far side of the river, where the light was better, but the water began to rise.. quickly...
I was lucky to have my son, Bryan with me - he's a licensed river guide -
    [IMG]
and we stayed at the lovely Deerfield Inn - which houses a great restaurant and bar -
no crap on tap - I had a Jess IPA with the excellent clam chowder -

Bauhaus Sky Five, label says it's a "Midwest Coast IPA". Not exactly sure what that means as Minneapolis doesn't have a coast per say. Oh well it's local and tastes pretty good.

If you ever have a question if you should participate in these BIF this is an example of the beers you could get and they are always great beers!!

Pretty darn decent. Smokey/roasty as hell, no real pervasive alcohol heat, and pretty easy drinking.

This beer reminds me of Dokken for whatever reason.....

    Good Afternoon BA,
Today's beer is part of Firestone Walker's rotating double IPA series Leo vs. Ursus. I have to say that I really think it's cool that they have these rotating series, this one & Luponic Distortion. In today's crowded craft beer world, it's real unique way to distinguish themselves and keep things fresh.

I enjoyed Fortem more, but this was still a nice beer.

    Traffic avoidance protocol in effect:

Astral Weeks by Right Proper is current. Been two years since we tried it downtown, the GF noted from her data. That might constitute a Throwback beer, perfect for this Saturday

Both use brett and lacto for a souring aspect, but the current beer shows the lacto a bit more. The other has citrus fruit involved which add an accent, but it's more a dry funky quaff.

    Obvious:
