I made a run south of the river today and brought home some additional Oktoberfest beers to continue the widespread review.

I don't get the love for this but that's okay. I have finally figured out why my Oktoberfest ratings have such high rDev. I want a traditional beer in this style more that any other. Next year will be SN or Munich beers only. This is what happens when I get an Oktoberfest that isn't malty or dry.

Enjoy what's in your mug tonight BA! :beers::beers:

Happy Wednesday, BA's! I think this is Magnify's most consistently excellent IPA. Thankfully, they haven't tinkered with the recipe. Cheers!

#2, I love Neopolitan ice cream, so this was a natural. The coffee is a bit too forward, but I’m still really enjoying this.

Holy shit, I really feel like I got my finger on the pulse of american craft beer culture from Germany right now. I haven't seen any reviews on this one yet, but maybe I'm just drunk and making a fool of myself :stuck_out_tongue:. Anyway, my local dealer insisted that this was just in and brand new. It's brewed at the German Vormann Brauerei for Against The Grain, who are an american brewery, right?

Smells of bready malts and resinous pine, tastes very much the same. There is a certain hoppiness there, but with strong undertones of bready malt. A little bit of caramel sweetness as well. Bit of orange rind, but the flavour is dominated by a resinous "pinyness" (is that a word, I don't know!). Kinda reminds me of Founders Centennial, actually. Bitterness is medium, I would guess around 50-60 IBU.
