Needed to make room in the ole cellar for my CBS purchase this week.

Overall, was dissappointed with Frootwood. Nothing bad about it; but nothing great either.

 

A beer while I finish the outdoor decorations. It takes me longer every year to complete the task, which leads me to believe I should do it without drinking beer, but that wouldn't be any fun. I certainly can't blame the weather this year!

 

I'd have a wonderful life if you gave me what your drinking! Cheers! (I know who is having a wonderful life TODAY!)

This Marshall Bourbon Barrel BW has lost a lot of its hops, some really nice sourmash notes on this .

Beer #3. Melvin just showed up in Philly for the first time, so looking forward to trying them all. Bought one of each, and starting with the flagship ipa.

 

I really enjoyed myself there a couple of years ago and look forward to visiting again!

Local brewery #1, Old Ox. Starting with Hipmonk, a Dubbel.


It’s actually pretty good, even though Dubbels aren’t one of my favorite styles, this appears to have the right aspects of yeast, malt, and hop. GF has a Funky Face Cherry Sour. It’s actually a dark ruby, and decent enough - actually like mine better.

I am getting ready for back to back Wisconsin versus Ohio State games, basketball then football. I picked up the New Morbid Angel album from the record store this morning, then drove around Lambeau Field blasting it obnoxiously loud. My goal was for the people in town from Tampa for the game tomorrow, to feel at home hearing one of their finest hometown bands. Here is my favorite new song from that album.

 

Picking up some CBS at a local store noticed they had both CBS and this on draft. Westbrook Chocolate Hazelnut Imperial Mexican Biscotti Cake Break.

 

All these Melvin's showing up made me want to have one. Not distributed in Texas and was purchased in Portland.
