    Springdale Ain't that Remarkable

First time with this brewery. An unabashed pale ale at 5.5%. Very nice stuff.

Their ipa. Rather raw traditional offering here. Very balanced with subtle bitterness. Subtle notes of pine/resin. More of just an easy drinking ale. Not bad but far from great.

I think that tonight's beers will be from other virtual bar brethren. Starting off with a really tasty New England IPA from a really tasteless New Englander, @PatrickCT.

I'm sorry. Maybe I shouldn't have said that.
    Is Connecticut considered New England?

Finally got my first album digitized today. Got a new Sound Blaster ZxR that would support an old turntable with RCA connectors and some software I could figure out and use. Got it done but I can't post any songs because it's Jimi Hendrix's old 1966 album "Rare Hendrix".

I love it when you’re pouring a beer and from two feet away the aroma fills your nose.

Enjoying the gifts of trading with @fthegiants. Couple extras thrown in with the biggie. Thanks man!

This Smog City coffee porter is pretty good. Although it was cold and I still couldn't get a decent pour from it, the beer ended up having some real nice chocolate covered roasted espresso bean notes that opened up once some of that foam started to dissipate. Pretty nice.

Then this coconut rye stout from Barley Forge called The Patsy. Nice coconut quality to it with chocolatey notes and some rye spice. A bit sweet and kinda buttery but not cloyingly so. Pretty nice beer.

Then I just kept thinking about it and decided to open the big one. This has been my biggest whale want since I saw the info before it got released. Really glad I got this bottle. I'm a huge fan of port wine and figured it would be good with a stout, especially one aged in bourbon barrels as well, and with coffee nonetheless. I'm not sure if they used Tawny as well as some Ruby but it definitely isn't too Ruby Port forward. I might be getting some Tawny notes thrown in as well. Really nice and complex stout with the dessert wine and bourbon barrel elements, with big oaky notes. The coffee isn't too pronounced to me right now. Glad I got a hold of this one. Truly marvelous beer. Cheers!
