    Back from our day trip (wink wink nod nod) to Luzern. One hour south of Basel, situated on the river at the foot of the Alps. Some snow today, so another Christmas Bier - Cuvée De Noel from Brasserie St. Feuillien, Belgium:



    Good looking Belgian Strong Dark Ale/Festbier. Figs, cooked raisins, light spice, cherries, not sweet, lite bitter finish. Raisins/fruit linger and no hint of the 9%. A tasty Noel Bier!

    This afternoon at the Rathaus Brewery & Restaurant In Luzern - Their Christmas Bier, a spiced Dunkel which was cocoa forward, light on the spice, toasty, no bitterness AND the first beer in all the years I’ve known Mrs. Z that she said, “I love it”!...

    I make all the good decisions today. Like buying fifa 18 again and taking a walk in the cold to the liquor store the day i get a cortisone shot in my shoulder. No beer that is carryable so jack it is to warm up.

    It was very rum forward. I was not too happy with it, there was so much Barrel on it that all the other flavors seemed muted to me. I like rum so that was not the issue, just too much of it in my opinion. Others may love that but I prefer a nice blend of flavors on these.

    Potosi Snake Hollow IPA. I was really hesitant about this one which I received as a gift. My rating is below the current avg., but it was better than I expected. Cheers !
