Lead Feather, a black ale via Half Acre:
Aecht Ochlenferla Rauchbier Marzen - Smokey, fruity, spicy, well balanced. An excellent beer with which to grill hamburgers on a beautiful central Texas evening!
Apotheosis from Hudson Valley Brewing. This is some next level stuff.
I like anything that taste like bourbon. Actually, I like the real thing. But that is a story for a different day (and website).
I am not sure if I can find the product in Richmond but if I can would you recommend it?
This is a glass of Stone Ruination 2.0
Psychedelic Cat Grass. Triple dry-hopped No Delay IPA. This was bottled at 4 a.m. on August 7th, 2017, shipped to a local shop and purchased by me around 3 p.m. that day. I held onto a few bottles since my cousin was coming into town before Thanksgiving. She didn't end up making it into town, so it's time to clean it out.
The nose has lost the explosive tropical fruit notes and the bitterness is smoothed over, but there's still plenty of fruity and floral notes in the taste.
I got my allotted 6 bottles at the release yesterday. Such a fantastic brew!
@vabeerguy first one is really exciting. The best to you and the new addition
This made its way to NY recently and I've had it on Nitro a couple times. A really delicious, well crafted beer, as with all beers I've had from Half Acre. First time with something from them other than a pale ale and it did not disappoint. Enjoy!
Those Target glasses? I think I have the same ones
Hubbard’s Cave Fresh V5
Not sure I have asked you (I have asked a number of folks) what part of NJ? I grew up in Morris County but that was many, many moons ago. My older sister moved back to NJ to be with her daughter and granddaughter after her husband passed

Canned 18th of December, 2017.
Moderate pour yields a 1/2 inch white head over a hazy body with some fleeting lacing. Nose of tropical fruit (melon, papaya) and citrus (orange, tangerine), with ever so slight pine. Taste mirrors nose with a nice mouthfeel and an almost dry finish. Overall, an enjoyable experience to be sure. Cheers!
I am ready for some "shocking returns" and "incredible saves." @bobv and I have completed an unprecedented back-to-back llama avatar posting.
What year is that one? I have five bottles left of 2016 and two from '15.
La Cumbre's Siberian Silk. Best Baltic Porter I have tried. Might be a small sample size, but this beer is legitimate.
Thank you. Cheers!
This is the 2017, which I believe is much more potent than the previous 2 years.
A fair beer yet not as impressive as Prairie Pirate Bomb!
Lol, I’m so sorry. Come to NY. It’d be all on me.
Agreed. I should also add that I have several bottles of the '17 too. But no matter which year, it's a damn good Barleywine.
LOL! You know it, dude!
Got 2 winter warmers to try.
First is Shipyard prelude
Second is long trail hibernator. Cheers!
Congratulations. Definitely a cheers on that!
...bluh. 9 hours of editing later, I emerge from the mind-cave, and need something crisp.
My first Odell Rupture. Nice - could get used to this...
Purdue pulled off a win over IU in the last few minutes. Oh well and life goes on. My wife and kids aren't home, IU lost, so pulled this 2015 outta the cellar (it mellowed superbly) ...
... and popped this happy feel good Blu Ray in. Surround sound dimed and feeling good despite an agonizing loss.
(That song never gets old, even after all of these years!) The great thing about living not far from Metro NYC, Billy still plays out "every now and then", we have/had more opportunity to see him play. So great in concert!
Finback Flossy. Different, but good.
Sunday. Be Spiritual.
Drinking on a growler of Arkane Aleworks Shake Watcha Mama Guav-Ya. Described by the brewery as a "milkshake IPA with lactose sugar, Galaxy and Idaho 7 hops, and pink guava."
It drinks like fresh guava juice mixed with some orange juice. Probably one of the best beers I've experienced.
@vabeerguy I live in central jersey between Princeton and Rutgers. My office is in northern nj. Maybe one day if you visit we'll have a beer
This one goes out to @TheIPAHunter get your act together, and dig into that California box I sent you. I thought we were going to go LARGE tonight.
Oh, and I have this nice one:
I have a sister that lives by Princeton. Next time I visit her, I will let you know so you can treat me to some fine NJ beer. Of course, I will bring some Veil and/or Triple Crossing beer to let you know folks in Richmond brew some of the best!
Some coco jesus and homemade pizza
Odd Side Beer Me
@vabeerguy looking forward to sharing a beer
This beer has been the trade beer that almost always dazzles people, not the juiciest but just down right tasty. Someone from Wisconsin, that loves the Packers will soon have the opportunity to try this awesome sauce. @GreenBayBA may even have the chance to drink this while the Patriots get ring number 6!
