Hello BA! Hope everyone is having a great evening. Almost to the mid way point of the week (for most of us). Decided to have Birds of a Feather by Lamplighter Brewing Co. Has a great mouthfeel to it, with pungent hoppy presence. Cheers everyone!

Only picked up a single, but after trying it I'm def going back for a 4 pack! Really surprised by how good this is! And for the price, it's tough to beat!

I enjoyed the Cinnamon Toast Brunch.
However, the Hop Juju is the best new IPA I have had in a while and it ain't close.

Having a panoply of beers thans to @The-Adjunct-Hippie tonight.

Started with Pistachio Porter, a very nice nutty one that we liked a lot.

Followed with Fuel Cafe, rather thin for a stout and not a great coffee flavor.

Then came Irish Blessing, a few days early. I liked this one, good woody character but not a lot of whiskey flavor.

Finished with Sunset Coffee Oatmeal Milk Stout. Good coffee flavor, also somewhat creamy and smooth.

Greatings Bas Bake to the crappy bandwidth at the hotel late. Went beer hunting & ended way the FUCK up in the Chinio Hills. Thanks ford navigation for driving me through 4 f-ing canyons. I am sure there wasn't a good store closer... Also had a few good beers at Out of the Park Pizza, Bottle Logic Red Trolley ( I think ) was the star, Cigar City Guburya ( sic ) was also pretty good. Now on to an Iron Fist Velvet Glove Imp Oatmeal Stout.

I see your hand, and I raise you this :

So I'm entirely conflicted with this, because it's not a bad beer. The problem comes in with the advertising. It's not a juicy-hazy IPA, and it's not a new england style IPA. The "dust" was still settling in the glass as I took the pic, it actually looks a lot like a pint of Budweiser. It's easily drinkable, but very disappointing in that I was expecting a rich, lush, Trillium-esque IIPA and I got a weak attempt at best, which is sad considering Modern Times does a better iteration of the NEIPA (Critical Band and City Of The Sun) and these guys sit in the MECCA of New England and couldn't get it right. I mean come on! It's not that hard, GG. I do it in my kitchen, yo. I guess I'm more upset at the brewery's advertisement than the actual beer. Nonetheless I'll shut up and continue to enjoy the rest of this tasty IPA. :yum::crazy_face:

Just got home from a dinner party with good friends where most people were drinking vodka. I brought a couple sours from Wunderkammer, To ol, and Mystic; and a couple porters from Harviestoun and Fiddlehead. Wunderkammer's offerings were by far everyone's favorites. Now home to the closest beer to the edge of the shelf in the fridge!

This will definitely hit the spot!
    Cheers and Good Night!!!

@connecticutpoet , thanks for this new style of beer, Kvass. It's extremely sweet and full of glazed rye bread, raisins, and horehound. Not bad, definitely a dessert beer.

As an Eastern European, I'm glad that you didn't totally hate it. Interestingly, back there Kvass is considered a soda, rather than beer. It goes great as a soda substitute from time to time, which is why it's so sweet. Cheers!
