    NBS Xpost #2:

    Today's macro review. Decent AAL. Great head retention/lacing for the style. Aromas and flavors of cracker, corn, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and mild herbal/grassy hop earthiness. A bit too fruity aromas, but not overwhelming. Mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Bready/grainy malts, and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. A bit thin, but not watery finish. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness. Very flavorful/refreshing, 4.5%. Nicely clean lagering, not too fruity. A little too heavy on the corn sweetness, but this is enjoyable stuff. 3.31

    Excellent Brett saison! Fantastic head retention and soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, red/green apple, melon, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, peppercorn, clove, oak, and light banana/bubblegum yeast; moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malts; light leather/musty funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pepper yeast/oak tannin spiciness, and light Brett tartness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, medium body, and moderately crisp finishing. Bready/grainy malts; light stickiness, oak tannins, and acidity in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing spicy/tart/tannic/carbonated dryness. Never astringent or puckering. Very refreshing for 7%. Really great well rounded Brett/Saison yeast complexity; nice oak foeder presence and pale/wheat malt backbone. They really nailed this one. Will definitely seek out again since it is year round apparently. 4.03

    A pineapple milkshake IPA with Mosaic (mostly) and some Mandarina Bavaria.

    I've had some decent milkshake IPAs before. I don't like nor dislike them, but when done well, they help to bring some variety to my drinking.

    This isn't a well made one, to me. It definitely is milkshake-y in the nose, but it doesn't really come through in the taste. Instead the taste is kinda fruity IPA, but somehow there's some conflict? It's not the lactose, as I think it could have used more lactose to accentuate the "milkshake" theme. But somehow, something is off where it tastes like a regular IPA, but they hops just don't meld. I'm sure it's actually the pineapple - it just doesn't taste like pineapple though.

    My Publix got 4/12/18 sixers and I’ve enjoyed them...not as good as fresh Jai Alai, but I liked!

    look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.75

    Moderate pour yields a 5/8 inch white head over a bright and clear, golden blonde body with a little lacing. Nose of grass with some floral notes and very faint dank hops. Taste of more of the same with a crisp and ever so slight sweetness on the finish. Okay feel and overall a real good example of the style, but never my thing. Cheers to Chico!

    Yeah. Solid and definitely impressive for thr abv, but too sweet and syrupy overall. I’ll take Hop Stoopid.
