    - A couple of new brews to me, with one being from a new brewer (to me) as well.

I just submitted Unlawful Assembly Brewing Co. to be added to Beer Advocate. This was a worthy first out, in my opinion. I will definitely look into other styles they offer. Hell, I live close enough, I'll just roll on over and pay them a visit. Their double IPA is only available at the brewery, so I consider my arm twisted.

And good old Clown Shoes. They never let me down.

Just a beer that tastes like beer. No need to stop and look.

    Move along.

A little late, but here's tonight's lineup. First we've got my all-time favorite hailing from my home state, the Tarantula Hawk. Then an encore appearance by Agnus Dei (good stuff, btw!), but what's this? I picked up my first ever recommendation from a BA member - thanks, @Mothergoose03 ! Will get back to you once I give it a try. Bout to munch and watch some Jojo.

I should go to bed, but I have not been as emotionally and spiritually awakened as I feel right now, because of the new Dimmu Borgir album, in a very long time. I need this. Amazing craft beer, coupled with exceptional music. That does not happen often, like this.

At long last trying Heady Topper. Thanks to @EnthusedAboutBeer for sending me some! This was a bucket list beer!

With all of the competition out there these days with New England IPA's my perception may be muddled as to what this beer really was when it first hit the market. I always try to rate beers fairly, and while this one was a trailblazer it simply fades into the bookshelf with the other hallmark IIPA's being released. We are incredibly blessed with the craft beer community - lots of brilliant recipes being concocted and executed. We've improved 3,000% since the days of smuggling Coors eastward in car trunks in the 70's (though Coors is still great!). I will say this - the Alchemist has created a palate wrecker with this beer, the nose is to die for, and YES, it INDEED does taste BETTER from the CAN. Lots of hop aromas both herbal and fruity wafting up to the nose; flavors of stiff wood, grapefruit, honey, pine, hop oils, and light dusty biscuit malt. Very reminiscent of a resiny Tree House IIPA but a touch less sweet. Overall, with all things considered I gave this a 4.22 out of 5. Still a great beer, still have high respect for it as it began a cult following before the NE IPA was established as a regional mainstay.

Thanks again to this wonderful BA for treating me to a great box of locals. Cheers!

You are fortunate to have experienced the Siglo V. Nice.

That makes me want another stick and a solid stout to stand up to the smoke.

You’re going to tempt me to light up one and that’s the last thing I need to do right now.

With that said, a cigar would go perfectly with what I’m drinking right now, so perhaps I will.

At watering hole to finish another mini (I drink, they clothe me): Corona (water), Negra Modelo to finish mini, then a Chambord Boulder Shake. Either one more here after this....or home to growlers of the late Vindication Brewing. Freedom Stout and BA Freedom awaits there. Damn, miss those guys already. I'll have to do a cellar dive for their Bolder Bold for a Michigan trip first week of July.....
