This is actually the first Abyss I was able to get my hands on. Still smooth and complex. I am enjoying it, despite the statements of it falling off. Nice brew!

And the East Coast (and now bleeding into the Midwest) tasting session continues.

Rhizing Bines at the moment, amazing collabo if you ask me. My phone died last night mid post so lemme tell ya all about it! Evil Twin Falco ipa (tap), Femme Fatale Blanc & Femme Fatale Noir. Finished off at home with a Gumball Head, which tasted like cat pee.

I am addicted to hops and wanted to find a replacement to one of my favorites... Sucks!! I have heard it will not be brewed anymore this year so I thought, perhaps Hop Stoopid should be a very similar replacement. I've had it many times and its very solid so I wanted to have these side-by-side and I was hoping they were close to identical in awesomeness... As is often the case I was dead wrong...:/

This was a blind tasting, I was hoping I would not be able to discern the aromas and taste of these two, the first one I smelled was extremely hoppy, the initial aroma of the other beer was of pure malt, I knew right away I was in for a disappointment!!! I was right... Hop Stoopid is a solid beer but its not on the same level as Sucks!! Sad thing is I only have one more sucks!!

Anyway, this buzz has me getting sentimental so I am listening to some good local music!!!

One of my top Kolsch's, especially for being so widely available. So damn delicious and balanced.

Enjoyed my first Enjoy By the day before my B-day. All the bottle shops in my area told me it was not available here. They were wrong.

First one in a year and a half.

The first I had was at a bar in East Stroudsburg, PA prior to a show. I heard my manager talking about this beer and how good it was and I spotted it in the cooler at the bar so I decided to give it a go. I really had no idea what I was drinking straight from the bottle that night. It tasted boozy, it tasted thin and tough to suck down. I appreciate this beer much, much more now.

Kinda funny to have one's face cartoonized on a beer label. Bummed and confused hoptimum hasn't hit the So Cal market which is 8 hrs from the SN brewery.
