I should probably remember but I do not. How long without work? I got laid off six years ago. They hated old folks. Especially crazy old folks.

Got a pretty good retirement severance package but not enough to survive. Was able to find temp work for while. A few years later, I was eligible for social security. It was tough in the interim but all is cool now.

Dude, if you ever want to talk finances let me know. I prefer doing it over beer and wilth the understanding it is just talk.

 

Finally getting a chance to enjoy the warm weather.

 

Massive amount of "floaties" in this but it tastes great.

 

7th Settlement Brewing - Mosaiszlic Pale Ale

Really nice tasting Pale. Good balance of citrus flavors, without a major Mosaic taste.

Funny, having these side-by-side, Another One is clearly more fruity - in a clean way.

Ha! I gave them blind to the GF, and she picked them properly, and her statement (about the Maine beer) was, "This one has a little bit more clean of a finish."

 

As am I. The ladies in the nursing home cannot keep their hands off of me.

Now. Ive got 17 years experience as a cook/manager/ chef /f and b and 18 years in foodservice sales. I could be a line cook but the money sucks and I would have to show all these "chefs" how to kick ass without complaining.....

Daily lager review. Pretty solid. Good head retention and light spotty lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of cracker, corn, white bread, light biscuit dough, and light herbal/grassy hop earthiness. A bit too fruity aromas, but not overwhelming. Mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Bready/grainy malt and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. A bit thin, but not watery feeling. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness. Very flavorful and pretty refreshing for 5.9%. Mildly increasing lingering alcohol warmth. Nicely clean lager flavors, not too fruity. Overall quite pleasant. Clean pale malt/grain flavors and decent earthy hop balance. Just a bit too much corn notes I thought, but otherwise pretty tasty and I definitely enjoyed it. 3.38


Excellent sour! Great head retention/lacing for the style. Flavors of big juicy/light tart/tangy strawberries, cucumber, fruit skin, lemon, lime, peach, pear, apricot, melon, green apple, white wine, oak, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread malts; and light pepper, oaken vanilla, musty funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Similar/less acidic aromas. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and light yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced grainy malts, lactic acid, fruit tang, and light oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy fruit dryness, no puckering sourness. Zero warming 6%. Refreshingly drinkable, not overly lactic. Great Brett/Lacto complexity with balanced jammy fruits; nice oak presence and pale/wheat malts against acidity. Their BA sours have all been great across the board. Most were more impressive than this was though. 4
