Drinking mine now. It’s a fine beer, but I wouldn’t put it in my top ten. A lot maltier than I remembered.

I wonder how much that I will pour down the drain. At $1.39 for 24 oz., it won't be a great loss.

I feel like I need to state to many of you that this is not a new brewery, just one that is nowhere as popular as they used to be. They also had some quality control issues at one point and that hasn’t helped. They make a lot of Belgian style ales and malty, boozy brews. This is a very malty brew aged in bourbon & rum barrels. The rum is very potent

If you haven’t tried anything by them, I highly recommend giving them a try:

Now, I'm back inside and have this beauty to sip on.



My last one. Hops have obviously faded, but this has settled into a great BA beer reminiscent of a barleywine. Bourbon, oak, dark fruit, caramel. This is probably my favorite BA DIPA ever...I hope Founders adds it back to the schedule in 2019.

Even though the wife put on a Dog’s Purpose and now I’m pretty fucking depressed I AM starting my vacation and this beer is a “I’m starting my 10-day vacation” beer. Last one of these I have and still fabulous. Smooth, barrel still there, smooth, licorice-chocolate, smooth, smooth, smooth. Smooth.
