Started yard work at 8 now done ,
Enjoying this fine offering from our dear friends at
Brick and Feather
Kitten with a Whip, wonderful lager
With its very dry, green, tropical/citrus fruit character and mild, acidic/tart hop burn aftertaste, this is almost like a cross between a New England and Brut IPA. Very enjoyable.
Foam Pavement, cheers!
New South Brewing Dirty Myrtle DIPA
Calzone to split with the wife for lunch. If anyone lives near Publix, Blue Point is BOGO til this Thursday...
We're under a heat advisory this afternoon. I'm dashing outside to do short stints of bike maintenance. Debating whether to go to a minor league baseball game at four. They do have good beer...
Platform - Formidable Cool 'Milkshake IPA' (can).. cheers!
A fine, Belgian-influenced lager courtesy of @GreenBayBA
We await the start of Poland Columbia with these in hand
You can’t legally buy fireworks in NJ, but you can buy all sorts of sparklers, so I stocked up for next week. Probably will crack this open tonight after I BBQ.
Perhaps I have lost my mind, drinking more than a few brews this Sunday morn...but I suppose that's neither here nor there, as my sense of moderation does kick in sooner than later...
for lack of anything better lying around.....
and in case y'all haven't seen this.....
Smokin’ meat and drinkin’ beer. Life is good.
Umm Yea DIPA from The Veil
I don’t usually cross post, but have renewed vigor to expose this band a little more
Just finished watching Hitman's Bodyguard...
Didn't get great reviews but I really liked it - lots of action, some good laughs, and a great cast - kinda like Deadpool, but without the costumes and cleverness...
Last night, watched Annihilation...
Cool flick, but not great - think, The Thing, Prometheus, Solaris, and Evolution, with a hint of Invasion of the Body Snatchers and an (almost) all-female cast, like The Descent...
Going to my nephew's graduation shortly (ugh)... gotta suck it up...
Westworld season finale (90 minutes) tonight...
On rainy days it is good to have indoor activities, such as beer drinking and puzzle building, to name just two - Creemore Springs’ Premium Lager, from Creemore, ON, Canada:
And the second puzzle of this trip is done!
The beer is a pale amber with lite floral hop scent, lite DMS w/caramel malt finish, and medium full bready body. Ok.
Reminds me a lot of Head Hunter, but not quite as good.
BA Sunday Brunch on Sunday of course. Cheers
Happy Sunday BAs
Battle Blueberry for lunch!
Trillium Fated Farmer VS Jester King Colour Five
March 2018 releases
Fated Farmer, bright vibrant and juice like. Cherries, blueberries and spice. Highly carbonated and very tart. Smooth yogurt funk throughout. Light body and finishes extremely dry.
Colour Five, bright and lightly carbonated. Tart Blueberry skins and earthy funk, wet wood and sweetness. Mellow funk and rustic. Light body with a semi dry finish.
If given the choice I’d reach for JK Colour Five but that is not to say Fated Farmer wasn’t worthy. It most definitely was.
Looks delish, probably will be
Catching a vibe from the Crescent City . . .
Hazy lighter shade of gold color with bountiful cap and lacing.
Aroma of sweet malt and floral hops tinged with tropical fruits.
Flavor on entry leans toward the hops which are sharper and less fruity than the scent implies. It's a richer sort of piquant flavor that dominates but doesn't overwhelm the malt. These flavors stay the same all the way through with the fruit diminishing while the malt builds toward the finish but hops are what carry the show.
I picked this one up as a style tick for NBS, went to rate it and realized that I had already rated it. So......guess I’m going to just enjoy it once again. Worse things I guess, as this isn’t too shabby at all.
I was thinking of posting that Corden thing. Watched it this morning. Absolutely amazing.
Beer #3, #4, and the cuvee.
Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Vanilla Bean Stout, 9.5% ABV. Pours black with a one finger tan head. Nose is bourbon and vanilla, taste follows, plus chocolate and coffee. Moderate bitterness. Excellent mouthfeel, overall excellent.
Bissell Brothers Nothing Gold. Cheers
@beermanben just gave me this beer. It is amazing.
Bells porter, little heavy on the carbonation but still pretty good
Best. Video. Post. Ever!
Going on vacation on Friday so nothing too crazy. Picked up a single of Lake Erie Monster and some Bell's Oberon to hold me over
This one was decent,
but not amazing. 3.71 out of 5. Reminded me of a slightly salty, caramelized Seagram's Blackberry wine cooler. Bourbon flavor is almost non-existent but the heat is there. Hm.
