Last of the four pack. Might need to hunt down another
    [IMG]
One of the best goses and most unique beers I’ve had. Lots of salt and basil along with some lime, tartness, and malt
    [IMG]
Hardly a lager but definitely tasty
    [IMG]
The tequila isn’t overbearing luckily. Good amount of orange along with a mild tartness and some salt. Super unique
    [IMG]
Definitely better after about 5-6 weeks in the can. Certain galaxy hopped ipas just need some time to open up

Yessss, the rain is coming and has dropped the temp to 81 from 94. I saw a heat index of 109 at 4:30 today, I believe the highest I've seen in 45 years of living in FL. CC Golden Ale is doing the trick.......

Moderate pour yields 3/4 inch white head over a hazier than normal pilsener with some lacing. Nose of cracker and ever so slight citrus. Taste of cracker, a bit of sweetness, and a semi dry/crisp finish. In other words, not crisp enough for the style as the sweetness holds back its "crisp" potential. Good feel and overall, something I wouldn't turn down if offered, but not exactly true to the style. Cheers!

Saison Erie-Mere - excellent saison. One of those beers that sometimes makes you wonder why you don’t drink more Belgian beers. Celebrating 2 goals and second place at my hockey tournament!

Not right now but earlier, Velvet Merlin.

Funny story about this. I order the Velvet Merlin. A few minutes later, the bartender comes back and said "Sorry I don't know how to make that." I explained, it's not a mixed drink, I ordered beer, a Velvet Merlin. He says, he thought I said "Velvet Berlin".

And now all I can think of is now I want there to be a drink called Velvet Berlin. Something with German liquors and a velvety texture.

    NBS X-Post #2

Looks like I get to be the first written review, as usual. Very nice session (milkshake?) sour. Great head retention/lacing for the style. Aromas and flavors of juicy/lightly tart peaches, fruit skin, apricot, lemon, lime, orange, pear, red/green apple, white grape, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, white bready malts; light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Creamy/grainy wheat/lactose, and light acidity/tangy fruit in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing tart/tangy fruit dryness, no puckering. Very flavorful/refreshing, 4.5%. Not watery at all. Nicely balanced Lacto and fruit flavors; with a perfectly balanced malt/lactose backing against acidity. This tastes a lot like the Odd Side Fruitsicles, which I enjoy a lot. Would buy this again. Did not expect lactose initially, but it worked well. Great summer beer. 3.9
    [IMG]

Very nice fruit IPA. Nice head retention/lacing on the glass. Flavors of big juicy ruby red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, white grape/wine, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate toasted biscuit, light caramel malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Similar/muted aromas. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish, Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight resins. Light-moderate increasing bitter/carbonated dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth and pretty refreshing for 6.6%. Pretty old on the can(8/17), but very tasty stuff. Friend gave it to me for free. Galaxy and Nelson hops. Juicy and lightly dank hops/fruit; nice bready malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness. Held up well. Really enjoyable. 3.88

Canned in March so a bit less bright in the glass, but still very bright on the pallet.

Probably my 4th 12 pack of Oberon this Spring/Summer.

Hearing the thunder rolling in the distance. Wouldn’t mind a nice storm to kill this heat.

Picked up a six of some local stuff on the way home.

Scofflaw Brewing - Jaywalker Session IPA

Solid hop profile, light, herbal with some grapefruit bitterness on the finish. But that may just be the NE I had before this talking. Scofflaw can be hit or miss, depends on the which way the wind is blowing.

This is creative as I can get. Not in my gene pool.

Funky Buddha beer being analyzed by Buddha who happended to come to my home many decades ago from a military base in Okinawa, late 1960's. Buddha is a peaceful guy and he would not be offended should you have any negative comments.
