32oz of some fine ipa from Benchtop. Soft Crash ipa and it’s delicious. Really good stuff,

A Citra slap to the taste buds — a lot of tangerine and grapefruit, resinous, and a very slight citrus rind bitterness to the finish. The other 3 won’t be an issue.

 

The last couple days have been long and aggravating filling out paperwork & online class assignments for my new job. I guess I shouldn't complain, they did agree to hire me. Going to relax for a bit in the pool. And you know that means brews

 

Back home after running errands...starting with my last “Three Claw” by Westbrook:



I like so much better than a year or so ago...tropical fruit, weedy, lemon zest and no garlic/oniony finish or linger.

One of my errands was to pop into the local pub and check on the state of the beer union...with a Hubbard’s Cave “Fresh IIPA One Hop Mosaic”:



Awesome single hopped brew. Pineapple, mango, lemon peel and slightly dank. I like!

 

I finished off my shift tonight with a wholesome heavy stout. Jekyll & Hyde from Wylam and de Molen. Smooth, sweet, heavy. Just a great stout. On nitro by the way!

I seem to be liking this better than the last time I had it, totally quaffable.(I know some people hate that word, that's why I said it)

Tune. I know there are some Hagar haters out there, but at this point of the relationship it seems like they were having a great time.

 

First brew went down so well I am going to indulge in another IPA from a different brewery and forget that I was even at work today.
Vengeful Spirit IPA from Stone @ 7.3%. Wow that flavor and feel woke my sorry ass right up.

 

Still a staple, but not amazing these days sadly.

Another one recommended by "the beer lady" at my local store. I bought a single and I like it, but it almost seems like I'm drinking a carbonated screwdriver.

All this Oktoberfest talk has me craving chili. So a little prep work, before the simmering begins.

And yes, the SN is for the chili.

Saw this today and was intrigued by the packaging so I picked it up. About $12 I think?


Interesting flavor profile, papaya and some melon, frothy head that lingers — I like. Anyone tried this?
