YES, I-need-a-beer (UNITA). One of my worst weeks at work, 32 years there. Found out that my team built a cable wrong, external escape, telling the US Army that we need 7 black boxes back to fix the cable....FML. This too shall come to pass...........

She's unapologetically smoky, but also demure :sunglasses:. These bottles are from a seemingly really fresh batch (unfortunately no bottle dates, but the taste is so 'on'), so I went back to the store earlier in the week and scooped up a whole bunch more. May as well do it up right while I'm at it.

If you ever decide to explore smoked beers, these guys make the best. No half measures, though. Cheers!

If you look up “delicious hop bomb” in the dictionary, there’s a picture of this beer.

A little down time at The Spotted Dog. IPA for my wife on the left, and Prickly Beaver (a wheat ale with prickly pear) for me.

I'd rather have Weihenstephan Festbier, but this is fine. I'll buy some more.
So much talent on this album.
When I hear LaLa Land, I think Kenny Edwards and Andrew Gold, not Emma Stone.

Excellent stuff! Nice head retention and solid lacing. Aromas and flavors of big lemon, orange, peach, pear, melon, red apple, white grape/wine, and fruit skin; with some wheat, cracker, white bready malts; herbal, floral, grassy, light peppery hops; and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/grassy/spicy bitterness and grape tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Bready/grainy malt, and light grape acidity/tang/tannins in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/tart/tangy dryness. No pucker/astringency. Very refreshing for the 7.5%, well attenuated for the ABV. Really big fan. Great balance between white wine and blonde ale flavor profile. Great balance of pale/wheat malts, grape must, fruity yeast, and light earthy hops. Would buy again. Very well done as expected of Dogfish Head. 4

This was fantastic! Poor head retention and minimal lacing as expected of Black Tuesday. Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, toffee, brown sugar, bourbon, toasted oak, marshmallow, fudge, brownie batter, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of coconut, coffee, molasses, licorice, raisin, prune, salt, smoke, and tobacco. Increasing booze in the aromas, but not too overwhelming. Light herbal/roast bitterness and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy/bready malts; some stickiness, chalky roast, oak tannins, and light slickness in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/tannic dryness; no cloying, acrid, or astringency. Lightly increasing warmth of 18.6%, with mild barrel booze lingering after the finish. Smooth slow sipper. Right in line with a majority of the BT variants. Impressive, but not mind blowing. Outstanding balance of rich malts and flavorings; with great barrel integration. Not overly boozy/tannic for the young age. Bruery imperial stouts are unique in that they are not very roasty/charred on malts like most others. Also because they are all 19%. 4.2
