    My first major beer spill.
Drinking my Old Curmudgeon. Because I'm an idiot, I managed to knock it over - flooding my keyboard, desk, carpet, and mouse (and my clothes, too).

I've been less stressed after a car accident. Whatta mess! Beer is the most insidious, stickiest shit ever. Damn. It was everywhere and in everything.

Well, once I cleaned everything up - and thank God the keyboard still works (how that's possible is beyond me - beer literally poured out of it when I turned it over (although my "o" now sticks a bit )) - I only had one recourse.

    Backwoods Bastard.

    Still listening to:

May your beer never spill: Cheers!

Haha. A local meat shop has great sausages with the casing on them and everything. As a vegetarian I could see how that sounds terrible...disgusting even. But I can assure they are very tasty on a Hawaiian sweet roll and spicy mustard.

The beer is even better. Like fresh orange, grapefruit, hop juice.

I don't believe I have had a schwarzbier to compare, but reading this sites description of that style it sounds different from what I am tasting. According to BA, a schwarzbier is:

"Unlike other dark beers, like porters or stouts, they are not overly bitter with burnt and roasted malt characteristics that the others tend to depend on. Instead, hops are used for a good portion of the bitterness."

This one is big on roastiness and maybe touching on a little burntness, getting flavors like cold black iced coffee, bakers chocolate, and roasted barley....just presented in a crisp, light, not rich or sweet delivery.

Can't beat a sunny afternoon at the ballpark watching my Rocks beat up on the D-Backs and knocking back several Coors (c'mon, they don't call it Coors Field for nothing).

Back home now enjoying one of Colorado's outstanding brews.
    I'm truly blessed! Prost BA's!
