Last of my NBS contributions for the week, but probably not my last beer for the night. About to start cleaning the car out, which requires a (D)IPA.
Lost Forty's Month of Sundays - Amarillo Pale.
Getting my Dewey on, cheers!
Not bad but I've had better high octane Pumpkin beers..
Have a good friend over to help drink down my cellar. Starting with this 2012 cellar pull and it aged extremely well. This version is the 12 Year Elijah Craig Barrel and it's pretty darn impressive!!
Cowboys are my first love (71) versus what 94?
Sierra Nevada 2018 Octoberfest - a near-perfect quaffer after mowing the lawn on this cool Sunday in upstate NY.
Good People Snake Handler
One more before heading up for dinner
Gravity Check IPA from Building 8. Great mouthfeel. Like the 5.5% ABV. But even though I like a bitter backbone, this one is just a bit too harsh.
Zodiak Multiverse from Omnipollo...
Disappointed in the Giants and Steelers in the first half of the games today, but I made some banana bread, so it'll be okay...
Goes great with this beer!
Lags Super Cluster - Cheers !
NBS X-Post #1:
Officially done wasting my time doing introductions on any thread. It's been obvious by now that most people don't care about me, or what I do in my life anymore. Such is life. Will keep reviewing beers though. I've been posting the same review format for years now....
Delicious stuff. This is a fruited Berliner and not a APWA. Nice head retention/lacing for the style. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy mangoes, melon, fruit skin, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, red/green apple, hay, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malt sweetness; light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness and fruit/wheat tang on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Creamy/bready/grainy wheat; some lactic acid and fruit tang in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy fruit dryness. No puckering sourness. Very flavorful/refreshing, 4.5%. A bit sweeter than expected, but it goes down insanely easily. Awesome balance of juicy mangoes, Lacto, and pale/wheat malts. Not overly sweet from lingering dryness. Amazing summer brew. 3.95
Awesome SIPA. Amazing lasting head retention and thick soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, watermelon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate toasted biscuit, light honey/caramel malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Some resins/rinds, light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very flavorful and pretty refreshing, 4.7%. Great body for the ABV from Munich malts. Citra showcase; with added Galena, El Dorado, and Centennial. Very juicy, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; with a nice bready Munich malt backbone; minimal residual sweetness. They have not disappointed with the series yet, this was my favorite one. 4.13
Been on a SW kick all weekend. New album is out next month. Only been 8 years. Tommy(singer) should not spend so much time with Kamelot IMO
It's a cool, rainy Sunday afternoon in North Jersey. A welcome relief to this week's heat. It's a perfect day to crack this 2013 American Barleywine courtesy of @bstyle. It's very good!
So i was on a beer page on fb and had to share....
Back from our OBX, NC vacation. Brought back some local seafood. Will post some later.
Drinking some Richmond beer. My last of The Bug Man. A DIPA brewed by Veil.
Some high test from Trillium/Monkish. cheers
Stone Double Bastard
Will probably post the others up, I'm just drinking this one for now.
Enjoying this fine offering
Beer #6. Thanks @thisischuck01 !
Always a good beer
I have no opinion about the Cowboys. Yes you do Mike. Do not be a wimp.
Yesterday I rode my bike so many miles in 90 degree heat. Then I got up under my house so I can tell a carpenter where the rotting joists are. And I washed and waxed my truck. Watched no sports (pro cycling on the NBC Sports Gold app don't count?) Productive weekend.
I am liking this more now than the week I bought it a month ago.
Uinta Devestator Dopplebock. Boy are my Boys stinking it up on Offense...
Might be something to do with lack of preseaon work?
You know you hate us...
This is #5 of Oktoberfest beers I have had, and this is last year's winner for me. This year it is still hofbrauhaus.
Just couldn't let this guy turn 1 week old. Bought there this past Thursday....
This is true but only since I entered puberty. My Redskins are looking good so far tonight. Let us see how can turn it around into a loss.
I dont about all that... but I know you've got me hooked on some pretty dope metal bands the last couple years. Especially Archspire, you bastard
Bands pretty kick ass, Yo!
Plus have you had any of Batch Brewings newer offering? There pretty killer, man
Dont mind a little playful banter, it's all in good fun my friend.
Back at the hotel with some Tropicalia
My Dad was a Skins fan ( both of his sons Cowboys Fans ) , but switched over to the new home team in 94, never heard him cheer for them again
I do not mean to torture my friend @CanConPhilly but this is an amazing Triple Crossing DIPA. My last one of these. They brew it again. I will buy again. And up to the max allowed.
My brother in law is a diehard Cowboy fan. If he was not bigger than me, I would kick the shlit out of him.
Never had that one, but it looks amazing! Valhalla has set a super-high bar though. I could drink that one every day.
Hell, that is a beer! I do not think I could even pick it. Up.
Haha I picked Frisco today, unfortunately.
This is awesome.
Straws or hoses brother!
