    No.

But if I had that beer to get back to, I’d do it as an excuse to get back to my beer.

Awesome place and the prices are ridiculously low. Sal’s in Kitty Hawk.

Fantastic coffee stout! Lasting head retention/thick lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big milk chocolate, cocoa, nutty medium roast coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, fudge, marshmallow, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal/grassy hops, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/grassy hop and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; very creamy, silky, bready malts; light sticky hops, and chalky char/roast in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering hop/char bitter dryness, no acrid/astringency. Very drinkable, minimal warming 7.5%. Really spot on stuff; tastes like a sweet stout, but finishes like an American stout. Very rich malts and balanced fruity/nutty fudge flavored coffee complexity; with solid earthy hop balance against sweetness. 4.23

Awesome Brut IPA. Get to be the first review as usual. Great head retention/lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky hops in the mouthfeel; some lingering resins/rinds. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth, not aggressive, minimal warming 8%. Feels like a lot of Mosaic/Citra. Very juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; nice pale/wheat malt backbone, and minimal residual sweetness from lingering dryness. Well attenuated for the ABV as expected. 4.1

If I were to grade this...it’s about C+ with other HG options on the market.

    Musical Selection:

I love the sound of the Drums on this Album!
I am not a Destruction fan at all. My closest Metal Friends will tell you. Yet I Blast this album because of the rawness of the drumming.

Checking out some new beers for the game tonight...
Smile, You're Beautiful, a stunner of a 7.2% abv IPA, brewed collaboratively by Barrier and Captain Lawrence; dry hopped with Citra and Cascade cryo hops, its ripe with floral melon and sweet grapefruit - smooth and soft, with a 9/17 canning...
And the latest Powder Dreams release from the aforementioned Captain, this time with mosaic lupulin powder, Wakatu and Bravo hops; 7.5% abv, 9/27 canning...

They're trying to hype up the game tonight, but as you know, the Pats are the the team to beat, whereas Indy hasn't scared anyone for a few seasons now... That said, because the Pats are my lock of the week in an elimination pool, they are probably doomed to lose in an embarrassing fashion (see Minnesota vs. Buffalo in week 3)...

Here's to beer in your glass, BA, cheers...

When was the last time you had a black IPA?

For me, it was when Wookie Jack was phased out, which had been a mainstay at my favorite bar in RI.

I think it's time to revisit that style, and apparently Evil Twin agrees.

1st review of any kind, and they just got it in, so ... I suppose it's fresh, ehh? :grinning:

And the verdict is: sublime! Wow, this is a hell of an argument for the revival of the style. Super smooth and absolutely delicious.

    Cheers!
