Was going to call it quits after the Stickee Monkee but this Dodgers / Braves game has forced a re-evaluation.

 

Stickee Monkey has been one of my favorites since I overpaid for it on draft in Las Vegas. Incredible beer. I'm watching Man in the High Castle season three so no time for pictures. Earlier it was a Founders Better Half. Now a can of Stone Xocoveza. (I feel like I'm in Berlin...)

 

Decided to put a Lagunitas Super Cluster on top of it all, it;s been a good day.

 

I hear 'ya! On the good side, at least you can track down the beer here in the states. The best Martini I ever had was in Vegas at Red Square made with Jewel of Russia Vodka. It was a fortune (around $40-$45). 'Been searching for that Vodka ever since to no avail. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Well that loss was a kick in the teeth. Our D deserved better. I swear my son's 8th Grade Football team has better Offendive play calling than what we do all the time It's first down what shall we do? Run Zeke up the middle of course That worked a couple years ago because we had receivers that could stretch the field & the best O-Line the game that ship has sailed. This sums up our ship now



Earlier a Knee Deep Brewing's N/E Auburn PA & now a Bell's Two Hearted IPA. Time to watch some zombies

Poured the Mrs a Samichlaus earlier and now she's asleep on one couch while Jr is asleep on the other. So I'm enjoying my last night at the condo sitting on the porch watching the rain, smoking a cigar, and keeping this 17.5 abv beast all for myself.

I normally play this one on October 2nd because he and I share a birthday, but I forgot.

 

Pretty solid stuff. I'm sad we only got one brief teaser drop.



Nice candied fruit on the nose, the flavor is a bit different with toffee and pilsner malt forming a base with earthy, piney hop notes with slight passion fruit and grapefruit rind. 3.88 out of 5.

 

Wagner Valley Brewing Company's Sled Dog Doppelbock is what I am ending my night with. it is quite tasty. Cheers all!

Wow, quiet night. This will probably be my night cap as well, maybe not.



Local beer just released. Nice toffee and milk chocolate on the nose, and then the flavor brings more bitterness than it should. It reminds me of chocolate milk with not enough chocolate, then piney hops with resins that hang on too long. Feel is silky smooth but firmly a medium porter. It's an okay beer. 3.59 out of 5.
