The old label tasted much better. The beer itself has always been amazing!

10/18/18 and the last of my garden's San Marzano tomatoes have just been brought in for pickling after getting home from work just now. 33 degrees out and below freezing temps are in the forecast for tonight. We had snow on the ground this morning.
    Oh yeah, beer!

Canned 7/16/18 and still real nice.
Hops have faded a bit, that's fine with me.
    It's quite delicious.

Poured into a 13 oz Tired Hands Teku glass can’t figure out when it was canned. Pours a dark cloudy orange with a finger plus sticky off white head that leaves plenty of thin rings of lace. 4

Smell is apricot, melon, honey, biscuity caramel, and some grapefruit. 3.75

Taste follows I am thinking this can is few months old, apricot, biscuit, honey, melon, and grapefruit. 3.5

Mouthfeel is a big medium, plenty of life, a tad dry, and goes down easy enough at 8% ABV. 3.75

Overall this not a bad beer, but so many greats I could be drinking, just o.k. 3.75

Weekend kick-off here too, 4x10 schedule is sweet when the weekend comes....Flower Power doesn't disappoint. Big weekend here, Jeeptoberfest, Biketoberfest, Wanna go Fast, & McIntosh days....I'll be watching the Lambo's and GTR's go 215-240 MPH in the half mile at the Jumbolair airstrip where Travolta lives.............

I went for a long walk in the biting cold today, and come home craving warmth and a good dark beer.
This Dunkin Coffee Porter is actually really good. I had low expectations but it's actually very pleasant. Very roasted and bitter coffee, with chocolaty malts, lingering bitterness, and a good mouthfeel. I'd recommend it.

Also, I can't get enough Reverend Bizarre lately! Truly one of the best doom metal bands ever.

Wow, this beer shocked me with how good it is. The lemon flavor is so strong and tasty. Damn good.

Pours a fairly clear lighter golden color. The head is white, 1 finger, with decent retention. Minimal lacing on the glass.
The nose is lighter, and slightly malty. Slight lemon aroma.
Taste - Wow! This flavor is really quite rich. It has a very pleasing lemon flavor.
The body is light, but not watery at all. The lemon does linger in my throat and it's a nice feeling.
Awesome Berliner. So full flavored and easy drinking. It would be great on a hot day, which, it is for October in Minnesota.

And to celebrate the Foo Fighters performing tonight here's a great song.

Awesome sour. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy cherries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, peach, pear, red/green apple, melon, red grape/wine, hay, straw, and grass; with some wheat, cracker, white bready malts; and light notes of almond, vanilla, lacto/musty funk, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light yeast/tannic spiciness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced grainy wheat, lactic acid, and fruit tang/tannins in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy/tannic fruit dryness, no puckering sourness. Refreshingly smooth, not overly lactic, 5.5%. I know this is only with cherry juice, but it felt like whole fruit to me. Awesome balance of jammy cherries, Lacto, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. Not much Brett at all. The Eroica was just as impressive, but definitely far different.

Fantastic batch this year as always. Flavors of big juicy grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, passion fruit, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate bready, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Very smooth and moderately sticky/resinous hop mouthfeel; with a fair amount of grainy malt creaminess. Increasingly drying lingering resins, but never astringent. Minimal warmth of 7.1%. Balanced juicy, dank, vibrant, and earthy citrus/tropical hop profile; with a nice pale malt backbone. Tons of Mosaic, Simcoe, and Columbus hops going on here. One of my favorite Short's IPAs.
