Mine did the same thing. And I'm very grateful. I don't want to walk around the neighborhood in the rain with my "no adversity" kids.

PS A wise person one told me you shouldn't do for your kids what they can do for themselves. We tend to live by that... Unless I'm in a hurry....

Cool label, and as for the name of the beer, Alligator?
In California, Pigpen said it best!

    I was at this show,
the Dead's last at Bill Graham's Fabled Fillmore East. Cheers!

Awesome DIPA. Aromas and flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate honey, lightly toasted bready malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Some resins/rinds, increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Super smooth drinking, no warming 8.9%. Insanely dank, vibrant, and fairly juicy hops; great malt backbone, with no residual sweetness. Well attenuated for the ABV. Galaxy, Mosaic, Citra, Columbus hops? Big fan, but not as amazing as Aww Jeah or Stache bender for me. Glad these went to the limited 6 packs. Will get more singles. Thinking about getting the whole hoppy holidays pack this time.

Absolutely mind blowing stuff as usual. Fall 2017 batch. Flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, hazelnut, caramel, toffee, fudge, toasted biscuit, vanilla, cream, bourbon, oak, and light smoke/charred malt. Some roast/char bitterness and light bourbon/oak spiciness balances sweetness on the finish. Full bodied with an amazing creamy/silky/velvety and lightly slick/sticky/chalky/tannic mouthfeel. Lightly increasing bitter roast/tannic oak dryness. No cloying/acrid flavors. Mildly warming 11%, no barrel booze. Definitely absolutely insanely enormous on the hazelnut flavoring, but its not overpowering at all. Tons of coffee/malt/barrel presence to back it up. Glad it went to 4 packs this year, and at a much better price.

I liked it quite a bit- nice and roasty with a bit of herbal and fruity hops going on. If you're a fan of black IPAs, I recommend it!

I want to create a special post in commemoration of the newfound, and frankly, unlikely, long distance friendship between @ElGabRyan and @GreenBayBA

Of course, all while capturing the essence of this thread: Beer.

I thought to myself, what is the definition of friendship? At a time when society is so difficult to navigate and understand, one can feel so alone. It is the comfort a great friend that can help one escape such solitude.

Built upon that premise, I present two similar, yet different beers. Just like the two BA’s whose budding friendship is metaphorically captured in my post.

Wisconsin and Jersey. Brats and Taylor Ham. Cheese Curds and Disco Fries. The Beast and The King of Beers. So different, yet so similar.

Cheers to friendship, and cheers to good beer so gratefully sent to me courtesy of the fine BA, @Franfab

Good evening, LNBA! I'm drinking TG Fire, Skulls, & Money, served in a #proper Spiegelau Adina goblet. In a perfect world, this beer would be available in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles. :slight_frown:

Awesome pumpkins! If you didn't do it this time, use an old drill next time. Choose the bit size based on what you need to do. It's really easy and precise, but gets pumpkin all up in the drill.

One of Tonewood's brewers stopped into our store back in January, 2018 and gave me a 6-pack of Fuego.

That’s awesome. I haven’t had any of their beers. They’re near Philly and I’m about an hour 30 north and we don’t get the distro here. From what I can tell that beer seems to be their flagship. I’ve not had it but it seems to be well liked.

Can I ask in what city / town is your store? I make it to VT once every couple years for work and would love to stop in. I go to Burlington and Montpelier, but always manage to fit a Stowe detour into my schedule. I’ve actually never been to a store in VT. The bars and breweries seem to satisfy my demand, but I’d love to check out a store too.

For once, I’m home from work instead of going into work, and I’m off tomorrow and Thursday so I’m gonna have a couple before I go to bed. This one is almost 4 months old now, my last Virginia beer, Benchtop’s Proven Theory, and it’s still pretty good. Not the “wow” beer it was fresh but still really tasty, not too much of a malt creep either which is impressive. Cheers
