    Kronk!

Canned 10/8/18, a collab with London-based brewers, Hackney, this is basically Barrier's imperial Kapow! Herbal and floral, with suggestions of pale fleshy fruit underneath... Moderately sweet, mildly bitter, with a soft. smooth feel... Has some earthiness to it, a little bit of heft to the body... I'm giving it a thumbs up...

Basically a good game, if you're a San Fran fan; cat won't watch regardless...

    Cheers...

Another new Roak seasonal. Outstanding gose! Nice head retention/lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/tart/tangy cranberries, fruit skin, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, lightly toasted bread malts; light pepper, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang; and light coriander spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body. Balanced bready/grainy wheat, lactic acid, fruit tang; and light salinity in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy dryness, no puckering sourness. Very flavorful/refreshing. 4.2%. Not overly lactic or salty. Awesomely balanced juicy/jammy cranberries, Lacto complexity, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. Not overdone on salt/coriander at all. Would buy a 2nd pack, spot on style. 4.15

Fantastic imperial stout. Dense oil pour; great head retention/lacing for the ABV. Aromas and flavors of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, molasses, toffee, brown sugar, pineapple, coconut, toasted biscuit, nuts, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of licorice, raisin, prune, fig, date, smoke, char, leather, and tobacco. Very slight booze in the aromas as it warms. Very mild herbal, roast, char bitterness; and fruit tartness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; Very creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel that is amazing. Slight slickness, sticky hops, chalky roast, and fruit tang. Slightly increasing lingering bitter dryness; no cloying/astringency. Dangerously smooth, minimal warming 12.8%. Definitely going to get some more cans. Amazingly rich dessert stout malt complexity; with nice coconut/pineapple presence, without being overdone. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Nailed it as usual. 4.25

Yes!! One of my early favorite beers is out and I got a case. Larger distribution made it a lot easier this year. Well, it was easier last year, as we just happened to stumble into the brewery on 9/30/2017.

That is this year’s beer, pictured again below in its 12oz format (all previous years were bombers):

It’s likely always been sweet with the Haitian sugar (99% sure it’s a BA version of their Rapadou Porter), but it’s been more obvious in recent years. Not as big a fan now, but I found I like it with a year or two on it and I still like it well enough.

Didn't work out that way. I have a little free time, but family obligations in VA and then time to fly back to the hinterlands...

My first time trying this beer since they moved to 16 ounce bottles. I have no idea why they would do that (money) but at least the beer is still good. This thing is gonna get me more faded than Snoopy at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade:
