    While I do like cinnamon in desserts, this beer has finally hammered home the point to me that I just don't want it anywhere near my brews. Still enjoyable, with a good overall balance, but the cinnamon is a little overbearing for me personally.

    Opaque dark brown body; lush, thick and frothy head; evidence of foamy stickiness on the inside of the glass. Roasted grain and soft brown sugar aroma; a trace of booziness. Heavy cocoa flavor with an edge of whiskey. Heavy and hearty mouthfeel; rich and chewy with residual sugar heft; primarily sweet overall (but not intense and cloying); some boozy warmth and heat.

    Classic Frog B.O.R.I.S. offering, rich and luxurious on many fronts. Chewy and delightful RIS, hearty and soul-satisfying.

    Founders CBS, and the nice horsey has not thrown the Mountie yet because this is a 2017, my last one. Strong maple in this one with 16 months age.

    Resting after mostly taking care of the gift the city left at the end of our driveway - one to three foot high and four to five foot wide pile of ice. We had rain and snow yesterday and it turned to mush. The city plowed at 1AM and by the time we got up it was frozen solid. We had to use an ice chopper and coal shovel. I'm going to feel it tomorrow so figured I deserved a CBS. We'll be grilling again next weekend.
