Slightly hazy yellow orange color with very good white cap and lacing.

Aroma of tropical fruits, pineapple and something a bit herbal.

Taste is hop forward with a bent towards the fruit. Again pineapple along with some grapefruit all resting atop a malty base. Malt plays second fiddle here yet maintains a baseline all the way through. Hops build slightly from mid palate to the finish ending on a slightly firm note. I don't really taste herbal but there is something that keeps the hop fruit in check.

    WeldWerks Kölsch

    look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

Light straw colored body; slowly rising carbonation; thick, frothy head, long lasting and sticky. Herbal and grassy hop aroma notes; a hint of cracker. Refreshing taste; clean and mildly lemon-like; light grain base; subtle and balanced hop bitterness. Light body; crisp; semi-dry finish.

A well-made kölsch, balanced and nuanced; a perfect light ale for any occasion.

Wind is intense and snow has started and is causing near white-out conditions. A good time to hole up in the 'Fortress of Solitude' and beer and booze it, listen to tunes, and process .308 Winchester brass on the work bench...
