Schell's Pils, 5.3% ABV. Pours pale golden, with a 1+ finger white foamy head that left decent lacing. Nose is malty. Taste is moderate bitter hops, slight sweetness. OK mouthfeel, overall OKish. Wasn't expecting much here, this was part of a sampler I bought solely for the Sahti in the pack that I needed as one of my last styles to try. Figured, what the hey, may as well try it. I'd take this over a Bud.

Citra Brau with kielbasa for dinner. Might have one more after this, but idk. I'm pretty tired, and 5:30 am comes awfully early.

Excellent NEAPA. Fantastic fluffy head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew, watermelon, guava, gooseberry, red apple, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, woody, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Creamy/silky/bready/grainy wheat/oats, some sticky hops, and resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth, nicely soft, zero warmth of 5.5%. Feels like Simcoe, Citra, Galaxy, El Dorado. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; with a great balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. They nailed it for the style. 4.03

Kind of just settling in here on a breezy, overcast day, BA’s. Going low and slow with a Taps The American Cream - tastes pretty much like a Coors Light - and I’m ok with that. Cheers:

Fat Head's and Barley Brown's 'Special Hoperations' (another fine beer sent to me from @micada)

Amber colored body; coarse carbonation rising het the head is thick, creamy, and dense; lacy strings of foam stick to the glass. Fine aromatics, crisp and piney; strong floral notes. Bold hop bitterness defines the core character of this beer; biscuit malt base flavor. Medium-heavy body; crisp and prickly on the tongue; sticky; mainly dry mouthfeel throughout.

This is a fine collaboration brew, definitely hop forward with its sharp and intense bitterness. The beer is classic west coast IPA in essence.

Apparently brewed to benefit veterans. I'm in.
