Haven't had one of these for quite a while. Great stuff! Cheers!
Stuff is dankly deliscious. Cheers all.
JW Lees - Harvest - Lagavulin 2016
Great new Brut IPA. Great fluffy head retention/spotty foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, onion, mint, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Smooth, not overly aggressive, pretty refreshing, minimal warming 7.5%. Supposed to be a NE/Brut hybrid, but mostly just a Brut. Awesome Mosaic, Simcoe, Columbus profile. Very vibrant, dank, earthy, and fairly juicy hop complexity; with a nice clean pale/wheat malt backbone. Zero residual sweetness with crisp resin dryness. Spot on style. 4
The labels said double so I obeyed the instructions and had two.
Power tools never looked so tasty, er, I mean your beer
Waldo's is great this year.
Yo, people talk shit about hot dogs, but a quality frank loaded with great toppings is legit delicious.
Finally home after running some errands and a beer run. Four day weekend begins! Wife starts a new job Monday, so she’s now bringing home the bacon.
We now get Alvarado Street distribution for some reason, albeit with 12 Percent so this can was close to $6. Didn’t know what to get so I grabbed a Mai Tai PA since it was the only can left.
All I can say is hello mosaic.
Last can of Sea Of Green, thanks @CanConPhilly, cheers!

Thank you for the kind words my friend ! Always great to see you and the missus as well ! Thanks for the compliment to the boy as well. I will be posting a new beer shortly.
On look pretty Tree
Fantastic. Nice head retention, minimal spotty lacing. Great color. Aromas and flavors of huge sour/tart/tangy boysenberries, blackberry, raspberry, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, peach, plum, pear, apricot, red/green apple, currant, red grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malts; lighter notes of leathery/musty/lacto funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and light yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and fairy crisp finishing. Balanced grainy wheat, lactic acid, and fruit tang/tannins in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing acidic/tangy dryness, minimal puckering sourness. Very smooth, not overly lactic, no warmth of 6.6%. Amazing balanced of big juicy/jammy boysenberries and Brett/Bacteria complexity; with nice oak foeder presence, and pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Zero residual sweetness from crisp acidic dryness. Another spot on sour as expected. 4.2
Excellent beer but not in the others league.
Trying some of this tonight:
De Struise - Rio Reserva 2012
This JUICE brought to you by @Junior !
Magic Hat Fancy Grade. Maple Doppelbock. I wish it were a bit more maple-forward, but no worries. It's a solid Doppelbock. So much THICC malt flavor. Would buy again.
Knocked out my last undergrad final, upper division dinosaur study and writing, so this feels appropriate.
Having some Other Half DDH Space Dream
Wow, Uriah Heep, loved that band!! Reminded me of this from the same era, another great band. Thanks for posting that.
This is off the (hammer) chain, yo.
Took the day off to get some dental work done in Oklahoma, getting 3 crowns. They had a helluva time shaping one of the temps, so I was in the chair long enough ( 3 hours+ ) that the oldies stationed they piped in had played 2 Elton John songs ( not this one
Still managed to swing into Tulsa & blow a C-note on beer. First up, Modern Times Telesto IPA
It was a nice drive, tons of Wildflowers, especially on the Oklahoma side
Pour was a tad vigorous...
I was thirsty.
I invited a friend over tonight for some dinner (my work, my treat) and some debauchery - just alcohol, thanks, nothing else! Some selected pics:
Not quite ready to call it a night - it is hump day, after all - but it's been a good day so far. Cheers!
Burning Barrel & Highwater Brewing - Let's Go Camping. A S'more-inspired blonde stout
Not my thing but glad to try. Cheers Fam
Fridge cleaning is almost complete. This at 60 days is damn good. Better than the "hot" beer I had way back....
So, I am having a "The Doctor Is In". Unfortunately I do not know if it will ever hit even minimum distro. The recipe is from the son at 3 Sheeps. Described as an Imperial Brown Ale - not my favorite style - Aged in Woodford Reserve barrels w coconut and maple syrup. 12% ABV. For a Brown Ale quite nice, I am sure the barrel aging does not hurt either. So there you have it and, - Cheers !
After a couple of big DIPAs, this is tasting really good!
Tonight’s closer sponsored by Great Divide, just love this stout! Sleep well all.
While KBS is naturally a solid breakfast beer, I personally think it makes just as good of a night cap.
Cheers and good night, BAs!

Grabbed a 4-pack at Total Wine today, plus some bourbon and gin...
