    SingleCut Hop Sounds. Not really a Kolsch per-se, but a very light and bright hoppy beer. Delightful for some post-lunch drinkin'

    Fresh Jai Alai at the source. I used to pronounce the name of this beer wrong, and I'm sure the mispronunciation of this brew is more recognizable across the country than the proper pronunciation. Killer IPA as always.

    It’s different, but I really enjoy it. I’m picking up a lot of berry notes, strawberries and an almost vanilla like sweetness with some granola/oats/cereal background. It reminds me of strawberry and granola with vanilla yogurt or homemade strawberry and cream oatmeal.

    Maybe I'll drink a new-to-me Dubbel next Saturday. This is an all time favorite.
    Boss tan head that lasts until the last drop. Great malty aroma with figs, cherry, Chimay yeast which gives a cheesy aroma to all their beers to my nose.
    Colanut, cherry, ginger, coffee, allspice, allspice, coriander.
    Slick mouthfeel, no alcohol heat.

    Makes me want to dance

    The pour appears a light, straw hued color; the head appears thick and creamy. The smell has a bold cracker malt backbone with some earthy hop notes. Exquisite light cereal malt taste; biscuit; nice minerally quality; hop bitterness starts out barely noticeable yet builds to a strong yet balanced presence at the finish. Medium body; almost creamy; smooth; excellent mouthfeel balance, not sweet, not dry, just right.

    I had to judge some of my ratings (mainly 'Look') because I only had a paper cup in my hotel room to pour the beer into. All the same, the beer certainly smells and tastes fine for a German-styled lager. It is pretty clean on the palate with some crispness in the feel with the hops while the carbonation and lasting head also add some smoothness and creaminess to the overall mouthfeel. A fine seasonal release from CBC...

    @WesMantooth -- re: https://www.beeradvocate.com/commun...-drinking-now-2421.616195/page-4#post-6525298 -- I generally liked the four previous Rheingeist beers I've tried (especially 'Truth'), but Kalmer with its citrus and cucumber tweaks ruined it as a kölsch for me (I didn't read the entire can, just saw kölsch and thought why not grab a 6-pack. At least I got a mixed-6 with this CBC beer, an Odd Side, Jackie O's and Evil Twin collab, Brew Kettle Production, and a Wolf's Ridge beer along with a bomber from Phoenix in my old hometown of Mansfield.

    Great heads-up about timing a visit to Wooly Pig. I do plan on making a solo run back to Ohio in the Fall, so without the wife and dog and extra family social commitments, I should be able to hit the Pig again...
