Fear of Flying from River Roost. Tasty pale ale with a lot of earthy hop flavors.

Starting with an ice cold Hamm's. Perfectly hits the spot. I advise all BA'S to not give up on a good, cheap, lager-Pilsner to keep on hand.

Brand new Amber lager. This was delicious. Great rocky head retention/foamy lacing. Crystal clarity. Flavors of big lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, caramel, brown sugar, brown bread dough/crust, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of nuttiness, herbal, floral, wood, grass, peppercorn, and pine. Similar/muted aromas. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight lingering resins. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very clean lager flavors, minimal fruity/yeasty. Very flavorful/refreshing, not watery for 4.8%. Great balance between juicy/vibrant/earthy hops, and clean dark/bready malts. Mild residual sweetness with crisp drying. Really well done lager as expected, did not expect it to be as hoppy as it was. Will get again. 3.88

God, this is refreshing. Citrusy, piney, malty, and bitter. This really hits the spot for a NEIPA palate cleanse.

Agreed. It's one of my new favorite session IPAs. I keep grabbing singles of it. I need to buy a full six pack.

I put aside some Nelson beers for an unscientific and only for fun comparison.
In order of enjoyment for me...

Viridescence - I'm blown away by the creaminess of this.

    Double Nelson - love it

Coriolis - probably shouldn't be here as it's a different style but I've always enjoyed it.

I Have Promises to Keep - I can't get in to this beer for whatever reason.

    Cheers!

    Hey BA’s
I spent the better part of the day putting the first coat of paint on the den. I’m toast now.

I thought the exact same thing! I’ve never had a porter, much less a Baltic porter, that brown, but I enjoyed the taste and Floyds is known for stepping outside the lines. Who knows? Glad you liked it, strange as it is for the style.

Dinner prep beer, getting ready to grill a t-bone.

They've been forecasting severe t-storms for today and tomorrow so I brought all of my chili plants out of harms way. Worked too hard on these to have them destroyed by strong winds or small hail.

I have never had an IPA that tasted this much like grapefruit.
Dry, pithy grapefruit-like hops? Sure, all the time. This, however, is like a glass of sweet ruby red grapefruit juice. Kind of insane. Very sweet. Very grapefruit.

If 18th Street brewed this year-round, I’d have to build another garage to hold another beer fridge. The way the grapefruit plays off of the hops and the brawny malt component is sublime, IMHO. Love this beer.

What's up jerks? At a friend's house celebrating her first birthday since being breast cancer free. Already had an OddSide Ales Cat In the Wall, Farmington Brewing Steampunk Common, Founders Double Trouble, and now a Farmington Brewing 4C'Z IPA (Chinook, Cascade, Centennial, Crystal, and Zeus hops)
