Bud Light (and wishing it were a Firestone Walker beer)...

...well, somebody has to QA the beer for my brother- and sister-in-law for this upcoming Fourth of July cookout Mrs. Goot and I are hosting...

Yup, that's a 12oz Half Acre can of a beautiful Pilsner for a hot day out in the yard. A cheap 6pk of a great Pilsner beats chasing whatever the latest hyped beer of the day/week is!!

Wish this one went to distro but only available out of both Half Acre locations.

From @beergoot . Awesome gose. Poor head retention/no lacing as expected. Aromas and flavors of big sour/tart/tangy ruby red grapefruit, lemon, lime, orange, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, apricot, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, peppercorn, sea salt, hay, straw, and grass; with some wheat, cracker, white bready malts; lighter notes of leathery/musty/lacto funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and Brett/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Balanced creamy/grainy wheat, lactic acid, fruit tang; some oak tannins/salinity in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing tart/tangy/carbonated dryness; no pucker/astringency. Very flavorful/refreshing, not overly lactic/salty, 5%. Awesome balanced juicy/vibrant grapefruit and Brett/bacteria complexity; with nice oak foeder presence, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp drying. Really impressive. 4.1

I was wondering if any of those beers I sent might garner a 4+ rating from you! Glad you liked it. I still haven't tried it yet, but imagine it'll hit the spot...

Cheers to the great Tony Gwynn who hit .394 in 1994. Wow hard to believe. Always a must take away from San Diego for me. Cheers

The next 2 days at work are gonna suck balls. Needed room in my fridge so gotta clear out some beers. Picked 2 of these glasses up for $3 at a resale shop today. Pretty sweet.

Every now and then we make something that ends up totally exceeding our expectations. I threw this sauce together in my slow cooker this morning pretty quickly and added some sliced Botto's smoked Italian sausage and let it cook on low all day. Also added a 1/2 tsp of dried, crushed Thai birdseye chilies. It ended up being absolutely delicious, probably one of the best sauces I've made in a long time. Had a North Coast Scrimshaw pilsner with it and it paired perfectly.

That sounds like it'd be pretty tasty, I find the regular Oberon to be a bit boring taste wise.

Even though it was early evening, the heat and humidity was overwhelming. Took a 20 minute walk. I look like I just got out of the pool. I imagine my fragance was not the best.

So thirsy I reached for a beer I could chug before showering again.. I know, water would have been better.
