Sixpoint Sparkler hazy/brut IPA (very 4th of July appropriate name)

 

HOMES Milkshake Sour IPA. This was amazing! Aromas and flavors of huge juicy, fairly tart/tangy peaches, apricot, fruit skin/pits, mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honeyed malt sweetness; herbal, floral, grassy hops; light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang; and light pine, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy, silky, bready, grainy malts/lactose; some lactic acid, fruit tang, and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/tart/tangy fruit dryness; no pucker/astringency. Super smooth/soft, not overly lactic, 6%. Amazing Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic, Citra, Simcoe profile. Perfectly balanced juicy/jammy fruit/hops with vanilla, lactose, malts. A touch of dankness. Not overly sweet from lingering dryness. Top tier for the style. They are top rated for the state now, hope they distribute soon. Loved everything from them so far.

Foundations Cosmic Bloom at my happy place

 

Fantastic IPA. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate caramel, toasted bread malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky/resinous hops in the moufeel. Moderate increasing bitter/resin dryness, no hop astringency. Extremely drinkable, never overly aggressive. Outstanding juicy and fairy dank hop complexity; nice bready Munich malt backbone, with no residual sweetness. Classic Columbus, Centennial, Cascade, Ahtanum, and Amarillo hop bill. A top favorite when fresh.

Oxbow uvalore I don’t know what it is but it’s berry and sour and tasty.

 

I like how you approach selecting/reviewing beers. If you don’t try lots of different beers, one is missing half the fun, I think. And many beers Are average plus/minus...it’s finding the surprise “wow that’s good!” beer that excites me. And sooner or later clearly dating beer will happen, I believe...Cheers and keep on truckin’!
