Who the hell knew that Nelson and Rye worked so damn well together! Actually now that I think about it, was not Aplines Nelson also brewed with Rye as well?

Regardless this combination remains one of the many great discoveries of mankind!

Steady Incline. A very good DIPA brewed by Veil.

Speaking of Veil. I have reviewed 138 of their brews. Most were purchased as a four pack. If the average cost of a four pack is $16 (a low end estimate) that means I spent over $2,200 at Veil since I joined BA! I am afraid to do math for Triple Crossing. This exercise is what bored retired accountants do for entertainment.

 

Alright - escaped meetings, and now sipping this amazing Rodenbach Alexander Flemish Red. Really great stuff - and good to share a 750 ml bottle with a friend. Impressions: cherries and wood on the nose, and palate, and then the vinegary sour aspect hits on the back tongue. Stellar. Me likey. Would have to give it a 4.4-4.6 if I were scoring it. It really grows on ya...
