    Lazy labor day... Have a Pork Shoulder roasting since 8am for a pulled-pork dinner... Getting ready to do up some collard greens... Gave my first thorough listen to the new Tool album (it's excellent, but not sure it leaves up to the general hype it's receiving thus far)... Cracked the first Oktoberfest of the year - Hacker-Pschorr... Ever since, I've been singing "it's the most wonderful time for beer..." I love fall beer season, but don't break the seal until Labor Day... Nothing but Oktoberfest and Pumpkins for the next three months :slight_smile: Cheers...

    Hope you’re all having a great Labor Day so far.

    My sister and brother-in-law came through this weekend to visit. Now I’m having a great Hazy IPA. Cheers BA and have a great rest of the holiday weekend!

    Hurricane is forecast to hit OBX, NC on Friday but there is a mandatory evacuation tomorrow morning. So I decided that this is my last beer for the day. Too much last minute packing and, more than likely, a long line on a singe lane road for about 20 miles to the bridge.

    Hope everyone had a good holiday so far. Massive thunderstorms just came rolling in the area. Hope everyone else celebrated by not doing any labor, as I did.

    Drafting Table Don't Get Ambered. This was delicious. Great fluffy head retention/soapy lacing. Flavors of big orange, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, citrus peel/zest, caramel, brown bread, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of toffee, nuttiness, roast, wood, pepper, pine, herbal, floral, and grassy hops. Similar/muted aromas. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body. Creamy/bready/grainy malts, some sticky hops, and light resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no cloying/astringent. Very smooth/soft, minimal warming 5.7%. Great Cascade profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly earthy hops; with a great balanced malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Spot on style as expected. 3.88
