    Tree House Green. A little less thick and creamy than prior cannings, but definitely a little frutier than usual. Still a great beer, no questions asked.

    A couple of "keeper" stripers from an awesome two hours on the Androscoggin river. I'm not one to kill and keep my fish though, so all these guys were happily set free to grow up to be giants, patrolling the Atlantic coastline. I haven't caught stripers in a few years, and completely forgot how hard they fight when they get over 5 pounds. Such a blast. If there are any North American anglers on here, there's still a bit of season left to get out and have a killer time fishing. A big catch makes that special beer in your fridge all the more enjoyable to crack open.

    [​IMG] Poured into a 13 oz Kettlehead Snulip glass canned 9/16/19. Pours a deep amber, with a finger plus sticky off white head with amber hues, that leaves a massive wall of lace as it slowly settles. 4.5

    Smell is hard apple candy, caramel, apricot, toffee, orange, and grapefruit rind. 4.25

    Taste is big old school DIPA and reminds me of why I fell in love with hops 10 years ago. Caramel, toffee, and hard candy upfront with apricot, mandarin, and grapefruit in the long lingering finish. 4.25

    Mouthfeel is big, dry, and sticky coating your entire palate and making you crave the giant next sip. 4.25

    Overall this thing is like a fresh American Barleywine that absolutely destroys your senses in the best way possible, loads hops and malt, I really enjoyed this one. 4.25

    That's what I was thinking. But still some unbridgeable (sea) miles in distance. At least there is a reasonable internet connection at sea this time.

    Modern Times did Nelson justice with this beer. Not my favorite Nelson beer ever made, but it's on point like a church steeple. I am thankful. Cheers!!!
