    Once again went to our favorite German joint/watering hole to have some 8 oz pours. Paired the following with a Philly style kielbasa:

    • Smuttynose Robust Porter - Smuttynose just made it into the state. Solid -- if unspectacular -- straight-forward porter.
    • 2012 Bigfoot - Remains my favorite barleywine to this day and I always jump at the chance to have it on draft.
    • Oak Aged Yeti - Chocolate Yeti is my favorite variation, but this stuff is fantastic nonetheless.
    • North Coast Grand Cru - I wouldn't have ordered this one on my own. However, the redneck at the end of the bar apparently drank a glass of it, and when my favorite bartender poured him a second, he pretty rudely complained that he didn't believe it was the same beer. Bartender proceeded to pour him another and he just couldn't wrap his head around why it didn't taste the same. I asked him if he drank the first one slowly. "Yep." So I told him to let it warm, since it's super boozy when it's ice cold. He accepted it and moved on and I got a free pour out of it. Room temp is the way to go with this one. Very unique brew.
