    Hey BAs

Drinking cuvée des trolls. A Belgian strong pale ale and a pretty tasty one at that. Available for you Americans too but kinda pricey; about $5 for a 250ml bottle.

    Cheers!

Rise and shine BAs, it’s coffee time - Underground Mountain Brown:

I’m meeting a couple of buddies at the pub this afternoon for a bottle share and to catch up. It should be lots of fun. I’ll try to post some pics. Have a great Monday y’all!

It's warm & humid in the Philly burbs today. I'm enjoying a Victory Sour Monkey. There's apple & lemon in the nose and on the palate. Tart & sour with a bit of pucker to it. Damn fine sour.

    Level Beer/Fresh-Hopped Oktoberfest.
Thanks to @Lingenbrau! Domestic marzen fest begins today!

Very floral in the aroma and taste. Grassy and earthy. Intentionally hopped more than a traditional marzen I'd imagine but still respectful. Very soft body, toasted malts, dry finish.
    Cheers, all.

Logsdon Farmhouse Ales -- Kili Wit (on tap at Colorado Springs' N3 Taphouse)

    3.98/5 rDev +3.4%
    look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 4

Pale yellow and lightly cloudy body; thin yet creamy and lasting head; rings of lacing stepping down the glass. Excellent mild fruit and gently sweet aroms; apricot. The taste mirrors the smell with a lightly rich grain flavor. Medium body; gently textured on the palate; low-key residual sugar body; semi-dry at the finish.

A fine, delicious wit bringing subtle wheat notes to the palate along with a mild and thoroughly enjoyable element of apricot.

Starting things off with a Mosaic-hopped IPA from Toppling Goliath. For lunch (earlier), I did my version of a Philly cheesesteak which, if you're outside of Philly, it's really just a steak & cheese regardless of the type of cheese used. I don't know why so many people can't seem to get it right. My version uses ribeye, onions, and whiz. Three very simple ingredients, but I like to cook the meat in beef tallow, and I don't salt the meat until just before I'm ready to serve it. It's also important to cook the onions in with the meat, so all the flavors mesh together. Cheers, advocates, and here's to whatever is on your plate or in your glass today! LARRRGE...

Pikes Peak -- Wet Hop IPA (on tap at N3 Taphouse)

    3.79/5 rDev 0%
    look: 4 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.75

Clear, honey amber body; nice head, creamy snd lasting; sheets of foam paint the glass. Very pungent and pine-y aroma; spicy. Mild malt taste with a punchy hop bitterness. Medium body; tickles the palate; low-key alcohol warmth; medium dryness to the finish.

A well-crafted IPA (a double or imperial IPA based on the ABV), it has classic west coast IPA eye appeal and delivers a tasty, straight-forward American IPA flavor profile.
