see you in a couple days.
It’s been years since I’ve had a NE IPA that I could even drink more than 4oz of, let alone enjoy. Granted this is in my wheelhouse with Mosaic and Citra, but this is like a murky version of Focal Banger. Thanks again @Ozzylizard
Tustin Brew Co has been killing it lately; and they just won silver at GABF for their Tustin Portola Breakfast Stout. Right here I have their Oktoberfest. It’s a nice change of pace, but I expected a lil better because of how good they have been lately.
The head retention on this one is amazing, nice classic IPA aromas here as well:
You should understand beer better.
And go with the flow. It's not about taste.
It's about Insta.
Take better pictures.
Hate to hear about that. Hoping for a quick recovery.
So I need empty cans of Julius in the background and wear womens’ jeans?? Do I take a picture of my hair too? Because I don’t have a lot left.
It's not on your head, its on your face.
Well, it's only 7:30 on the anti-east side of the country, so this is okay.
'Cept for the whole peer pressure / bully thing I gave into, I guess.
Good evening BA
Celebrating a Cardinals win and a first round sectional win tonight...
This is tasting a bit bland, but it's really cold. I should move the rest of the 6er to the cellar. I enjoy this one every year, but I really wish Stone would quit doing dumb shit and just start making good beer again. Cheers all!
Gotta love Wednesdays here in Stowe, VT!
Stopped at Doc Ponds on the way home from work for a couple $4 Hill Farmstead "Edward" draft pints.
Now home for a free sample from the Brown's rep.

against the grain"
Moderate pour yields a one inch tan head over a near black body with some lacing. Nose of dark malt, slight chocolate, and even slighter dark fruit. Taste mirrors nose pretty closely with a slightly bitter finish and a touch of sweetness throughout. Good feel and overall, a beer I could drink again anytime with lunch and still go back to work.
Not bad, a sweeter west coast IPA that is unfortunately filling.

Clear and deep golden hued body; fine one-finger thick head, dense and creamy, lasting. Toasted grain aroma. The taste is warm, toasted wheat; bread crust; a very nice element of gentle hop bitterness. Medium body; crisp and warm on the palate; leaning towards an overall dry character.
This beer reminds me of a Vienna lager more than anything else with its decidedly toasty, grainy taste and smell. Don't confuse this beer with the myriad of relatively light, adjunct Mexican-lager stylings, this one is meaty and robust. Very nice.
I'm a beer trader myself, been there, done that. My personal rule now is to not send something out I haven't tried before. I've big time dialed back my boxes since I have two "Things" in college sucking up all my beer $ at the current time.
Yeah, @PatrickCT needs to learn his lesson.
Firestone Walker Lager... it’s crunch time. Will Kershaw come in? Hell if I know. Here we go!:
Deschutes: Only Slightly Exaggerated IPA
Double IPA from 2Row. Thanks @Hinda65 !
@PatrickCT learn a lesson?
So far, I've been on the edge of counting out the Nats three times this game but they've kept me on the delusional line that they can win an NLDS.
New Local Helles. This was awesome. Fantastic fluffy head retention/spotty soapy lacing. Crystal clarity. Aromas and flavors of big cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light nutty malts; with moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery hops. Light-moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight lingering resins. Moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Perfectly clean lager flavors, no fruity/yeasty notes. Very flavorful/refreshing, not aggressive, not watery for 5.5%. Awesome clean Pils/Munich malt showcase, with perfectly balanced Noble hop presence. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Loved it as expected. Spot on style. Great Summer brew. Will get more soon.
I am your commander.
Last one from New Mexico: Santa Fe Brewing Merky DIPA. cheers. Even if you don't deserve it.
